There's no such thing as having watched Kick-Ass too many times.

But regardless, this isn't anything new. Videos of 'real-life superheroes' have been around for years, with some actually operating full time. I'm not going to necessarily trash these people though, because you know what? I would love nothing more then to do the same thing. The only reason I don't is because I'm not suicidal. So these guys are either are very brave, or very foolish.

Hahaha, oh man! Have these guys not heard of an athletics cup before? Jeeez. Also, pretty sure one of the women was about 60 years old. And whats with the guys without anything covering their faces? Then it says their identity is secret... Yeah, as long as you didnt look at their faces its totally fine. And the guy who clearly just put on a some elbow pads and green tape on his shirt takes himself the most serious, claiming Osama Bin Laden is his Arch Enemy... wonder if anyone has told Bin Laden that this guy is on his case! XD

Oh and some of the names! Angle Grinder Man, SUPERBARRIO and my personal favourite... Superhero! XD The only dyslexic superhero, when he filled the forms for being a superhero out he put his occupation under "name"... wonder if his occupation is "Gregory"! XD Having said that, he does appear to be the most... err, proffesional of the bunch... even if he isnt the most creative.

EDIT: Forgot to add the "disclaimer". All the best to them, hope they dont get hurt and junk.

EDIT 2: Seriously, there is one called "Super Gay"... not making it up, its insane.

Found a link to a .org site that seems much more professional and up to date.

http://reallifesuperheroes.org/

The hero chaps actually seem half-decent now thanks to this one.

Sorry to bring Kickass up in another post, but when he defends the guy getting ganged up on and calls out the people who didn't help as the real freaks, that just makes me feel that these people would be doing a hell of a lot more good if they hung their cape and threw away their masks.

They could go Boondock Saints instead... That would work a hell of a lot better and takes a hell of a lot more effort with a hell ofa lot higher stakes.

America needs a boost in vigilantism, because our police and justice departments are basically defunct. Whoever can afford an expensive lawyer gets a get out of jail free card, and if you cant afford a good one, you go to jail regardless of your guilt.
While I think these people are batshit crazy, I kind of agree with you Shru1kan. I live in Los Angeles County, and all I hear is shit about corruption and worthlessness in police and politics. I'm surprised there aren't any vigilantes out here.

This video will help explain

Lex has given super powers to the people of earth to stop an incoming alien invasion.

That or they really watched did kick ass to much.
Dude, that actually looks awesome! I could definitely look past the whole "alien invasion" thing to play it.

And also, what happened to Superman? I mean, he seemed so totally badass, I thought he was supposed to be the goody goody superhero who never killed. "You don't deserve to live!" Never thought I'd hear that from Superman.

That is pathetic.
That people are taking to the streets to make the world a better place?

Granted, its very foolish. But one can't help but admire the spirit in with this is being done.
True, but how long do you think it will be before one of them gets killed?

I'd take them a lot more serious as crimefighters if they didn't wear a cheesey outfit.

I'd rather have a super-powerless Cole Macgrath running around, than a tight-assed batman-wannabe with a modified leotard.

Gravel-voice and open an flyer jacket is the real world "cape".

Who cares? He/she died fighting, for something he believed in. He/she wouldn't do it, unless they knew the risk...

It's strange how all the people willing to "fight crime" must use silly names and dress in terrible costumes.

Well, I hope they do some good.

The real question here, is do they have a crew that runs around with them with cutouts saying things like "THWACK!" and "SMASH!" or other such things we can attribute to comics? If not then they obviously have room for improvement.

That is rather novel... but I don't think those types live anywhere near me.

A silly costume and name doesn't make a hero. Heroic actions make a hero. Deliberately leaving out the 'super' since, well... calling yourself a superhero doesn't stop you from being very dead after getting stabbed, shot or beaten to death.

To 'fight' crime, all you really need is a pair of eyes, a camera, a mobile phone and the willingness to use them in the appropriate situations. Confronting criminals directly is just stupid self-endangerment, but there are some situations that would call for that too.

Now that's a new level of having no life. Technically, they're protecting us (really? Are they? Not me anyway, I live in NZ) but out of watching Movies and reading Comics.
