I read that it's made using Canadian Tax money, though.
If I had to guess, it would probably have to do with the "Can-Con" crap up here in Canada. Supported by canadians just so we can be forced to watch things by Canadians. Since it's cheap as hell, it helps them show it to Canada a hell of a lot easier.

Granted, my knowledge may be out-dated, so correct me if you like.

It does have the guy who played Ratchet in it, that's not a bad thing.
Do you know what character he plays?

He plays Johnny Test. Although, he's not doing an easy voice to like in this show.

Simple.

It is very popular compared to it's tiny production costs. The first season had decent cast and done in traditional cel animation, but since then they dropped anyone with even a tiny amount of talent and found children still ate it up even when everything was done cheaply in Flash.

The animation and writing costs for the show are tiny, since they don't worry about quality of either in the slightest, yet it continues to pull in ratings and sell lots of toys.

That is why it continues to endure.
I wouldn't even necessarily say it's popular with the kids, it's just dirt cheap to produce and airs at hours of the day when absolutely nothing worth watching is on any channel -- just like the majority of reality TV. I find myself leaving it on in the background more often than I care to admit, because the other options are to either turn the TV off, put on the news, or watch some equally crappy reality show.

I have no idea if you're right, just like I have no idea if I'm right! But I did read an anti Test rant where it was said that tax money was used. I THINK something about it being a good export was said? Not sure, though

Almost Naked Animals is about two levels more tolerable than Johnny Test is. Not great, but I wouldn't put Test above ANA's level.
And Incredible Crew is a fairly entertaining kiddie version of SNL. It's kind of like what the second cast of All That should have been -- different from the original, but still entertaining, rather than absolutely excrable.

Seriously, All That was a good show, until the original cast got too old to be on it. One of them (Kenan Thompson) is now one of the anchors of the real SNL. Incredible crew is kind of similar -- the main girl, at least, is funny enough that I'd love to see what she's doing in ten years time.

Probably snoring coke off the back of some rich 58 year old man.

But hey, that's just my guess. It's how most people seem to end up.

Implying that Motor City didn't have god tier flash animation, also MLP:FiM looked really polished to a degree but they recycled alot of animations due to limitations.
Oh man, Motor City was AWESOME! It's a damn shame it didn't get renewed for a second season! And yet Johnny Test is in it's sixth or something; where's the justice in that?

The sad thing is that shows like Motor City and MLP:FiM are more exceptions to the rule than anything else. Flash animation can be used terribly or really well depending on the who's making the show. It's a shame, if more people used it effectively then who knows how many other awesome shows there would be.

I know there are exceptions, although I haven't seen Motor City, but I guess it's just my bias towards flash animation in TV shows. I'm fine with it being used for web videos and such, but there's always something about flash shows that looks... weird to me, even the ones that's considered good. With that said, though, the animation in Johnny Test is still shit.

The main issue is that Flash has an automatic tweening feature. Done properly, it's used to make already well done animation beautifully smooth. Done cheaply, it allows "animators" to draw nothing but key frames, letting the computer do all the real work. The difference between the two methods is the difference between FiM and this unholy abomination from the depths of the uncanny valley:

A lot more goes into the renewal of a show than "people liked it", don't you think?

Because they cancelled Young Justice, Thundercats, Green Lantern and Sym-Bionic Titan. The closest things to quality programing this network will ever see.

Now they have an awful lot of money to blow and they need shows to fill those gaps. They can now afford an endless array of the cheapest, most obnoxious dog feces you can legally cram down kid's throats before being arrested for abuse. Why have a few good quality programs when you can so many terrible ones? Cartoon network is basically using the McDonald's business model of TV programming.

Because people are watching it? This is like asking "How does Justin Bieber sell so many records?"

Just because you don't like it, or think it's garbage, doesn't mean that everyone thinks it's garbage. It's obvious that enough people are watching the show that Cartoon Network wants more content
Suddenly "I have no hate for the show. I've watched it, it's alright." = Garbage? Is that how it works, Lionsfan? Or did you not actually read my post, hmmm? Cause I am asking if people are actually watching it. For it to have last this long I'd would of expected it to have been some sort of rabid fanbase.

This is what I find perplexing. Is it just because people watch it because it's on? I don't think it's a bad show by any means but it certainly shouldn't of lasted this long I don't think. I mean how many kids are like "Johnny Test is my favorite show"? right?

I don't know about the others, but I expected Young Justice to sink after it's first season. They spend all those episodes building up this Teen Titans/Justice League format and then the next season everyone's aged and if you missed one episode you were completely lost in the narrative. And I say that loving that show. But they probably should of kept things the same a while longer before shaking things up.

Also they started bringing in the aliens and shit... I suddenly felt like Cartoon Network was pressuring them to much to be like Ben10

Because it's popular with kids, which gives Cartoon Network the in incentive to create more of it... even if it means cancelling good shows. Apparently, the TV executives at Cartoon Network have peas for brains. *SIGH*

As for the show itself... I admit liking it when it was of Kids WB (a looong time ago), but I guess I just lost interest.

I think Cartoon Network could do better... but all they seem to care about is pandering to stupid children. *SIGH AGAIN*

No I did read your post, and I answered your question.

Because people are watching it. That's really the explanation.

As for the garbage thing, that was mostly for the other people in the thread who were talking about how "horrible" the show is. Don't take everything personally bro

Hey now, I actually like that show.

I remember liking Johnny Test when it was on 4kids, but when CN took it over they removed the decent animation and like able stories. That and the dog lost all his charm and his voice actor sounds pretty different. I wonder if they have a new guy or if the original's voice changed somehow, but either way I don't like it. With the original format anything and everything happened in the show. Now, it's pretty predictable.

Sisters make new gadget.
Sisters test gadget on Johnny.
Johnny has problem.
Johnny finds that the only way to solve the problem is to use said gadget, so he steals it.
Gadget causes a bigger problem.
Sisters must help to save everyone.
Johnny doesn't learn his lesson.
Repeat.

Now that I think about it, Fairly OddParents also follow this same format.
