if you don't cause a fuss then nothing gets accomplished

anyway, I'd say people nerd raging over stuff with LITTLE information is one of my biggest internet pet peeves

for example

for fuck sake it was ONE trailer, I doubt you'll stick to your guns if you find out that *shock horror* the trailer didn't completly show the end product

I can't tell if that was sarcasm or not.

Is that fad still around? I thought they'd all moved on to the misogynist threads and hating on EA.
I don't know man, they stagger around here and there, but yeah, it's pretty much over.

OH and speaking of which, I never said what pisses me off. Mothers.

Not my mom, I don't have mommy issues, and I know plenty of moms that are cool in my book. I mean mothers. The ones where they know beyond any doubt that because they managed to squeeze a baby out of their tearing, screaming vaginas, they are simply a better and more enlightened person than you. These goddamn mothers are goddamn everywhere and what's worse, they are sickeningly convicted in their fucking stupidity. Goddamnit.

Yeah, but shit got out of hand for a problem which simply wasn't that big in the wake of, say, SOPA or EA's constant OTHER attempts to fuck over everyone in their wake. One crappy ending for one of their better games was nothing in comparison to what little respect they have for everything in their path and every single person running that company should be fucking ashamed of themselves.

I said they moved on to the misogynist threads, not that they were misogynist. You have noticed the several threads discussing the issue of sexism lately, yeah?

Okay, the post directed at me and then this. Something tells me you were one of these people, eh? Admit that this outrage went over-board and was a little too dorky to NOT get ostracized and laughed at, and we'll call this one even and share in a little Escapist bro-fist.

No, no. Clearly an ending they disliked is grounds for a thousand threads full of blind, pointless rage, all of which the team members at EA that made the ending will never see.

just because one problem is arguably bigger (EA's practices) doesnt cancel out another problem (ME3's ending)

fact is yeah, some peopel were insane, but that over the top reaction got [i/]somthing[/i] if they had said nothing then they would have annoyed alot less people, but that series would have remained one great big slap in the face, nothing would have been gained

quite frankly other people gettign annoyed at me on the internet isnt exactlaly my concern if it means what somthing can be done about ME3

by that your impling that discussing mysogny is somhow trivial? or that having the audacity to complaina bout ME3's ending makes you a kind of person who complains for the sake of it?

The new chef that was hired is making me a bit angry. She is a nice woman and I like her but I don't like the changes she is making. She is making it so that only two dishwashers will work the dinner shift instead of three. That is going to slow us down and we also have to mop and sweep the entire kitchen now instead of just the section we worked in. Now we also have to rely on the waitstaff to bus their own dishes. Whenever that happens they always complain about how busy they are and will just the stuff there.

No release date for the Game of Thrones season 2 Blu-Ray/DVD boxset. I hope it comes out earlier than March of next year.

Idiot drivers. I like my car, dammit. And I don't feel like checking into the hospital any time soon either. Use your turn signals, stop swerving into lanes, and get off of your phones. Seriously. I'm all for natural selection, but not when it involves the idiots being in control of 2000+ pounds of metal going at 60+ miles per hour.

What? You've completely lost me and seemed to have missed the point by more than a few leaps and bounds. I was implying the vast horde of Mass Effect wagon hoppers are simply in it for the hipster qualities, the kind of people who jump on any hot issue and spout hyperbole like their lives depend on it.

Fuck, dude. You really need to calm your titties. Go to your corner. Take a time out. Maybe take a walk. Talk to some of your less nerdy, complain-y friends. Enjoy the sunset. Stop being an internet tough guy for one second and take a quick nap. Your titties are embarrassingly flustered with rage, and your titties need to calm down.

erm..then I didn't miss the point

because that's what I kind of thourght you ment (not just in regards to mysogny in particular)

and in response to that *sigh* no....thats not the reason at all, the fact is Mass Effect has a....."passionate" fan base..and [b/]even that[/b] aside the ending was just...

I could explain but I don't think you really care to hear it for the millionth time

my point is...you don't have to agree with anyone over ME3's ending, but I wish people wouldnt make up bullshit as to [i/]why[/i] people acted like they did

so what if the ME3 controversy annoyed you? stop reading the threads. Maybe take a walk. Talk to some of your friends who like other games. Enjoy the sunset. no...I don't, because I'm not angry (or an internet tough guy) I'm just trying to explain my reasoning surrounding the Mass Effect fiasco

you seem to be interpereting me as "angry" and you seem to be brushing me off with silly snide jokes.Which is kind of saying to me you've kind of pegged anyone who has a say on the matter as "entitled whiney nerd rage"

one of those people? well I don't know

I was a little late to the party, by when I finished...yeah, I felt like Id been slapped in the face, I had my say but I didn't join any "retake mass effect" movement

now did it get out of hand? hmmm....mabye, but when you really think about it whats the worst that happned? annoying threads? pretty much it

but I think it had a good side..I think it shows "hey! we don't want shitty endings! put some effort into what you finish!"

Bioware had already lost alot of faith amongst fans after DA2...did that matter in the grand scheme of things? mabye, mabye not. however the shit storm over ME3 was kind of a kick in the ass that prompted them to [b/]at least[/b] throw us a bone

I don't expect much, but SOMTHING happened, so yeah.....I think it was worth it

now I don't want to derail this thread and make it about ME3...but I would at least say that DO NOT for a second think that people complaing was due to [i/]really retarded[/i] reasons

insignificant in the grand scheme of things? yes...retarded? NO

I can name a few so this is one of them-

I can't stand some hardcore comicbook fan who nitpick a well good comicbook film in favour that it wasn't accurate to the source material.
No this has nothing to do with The Avengers (althought I haven't heard anyone complaining about its comicbook accuracy) but more like some people complain the characters cast in X-men First Class, Heimdall from Thor was played by a black actor while he was white in the comicbook, the different ending to Watchmen and some of the changes they did to Kick-Ass.

Get it through you head people! There are things that can never be translate well onto the big screen and while they should be faithful to the source material most of the time (e.g. Deadpool in Wolverine Origin was aweful) but bear in mind people who aren't into comicbooks will see the movie too! I mean afterall they are far more of them it is to comicbook fans when you go to the full packed seat in the cinema screening it.

I understand that my mom and, sisters can't speak using an in-door voice but for fuck's sake, stop shouting to each other in front of my bedroom door while I'm trying to sleep. Also people I work with; stop blocking isles and, corridors with shopping trolleys. Seriously, every night I go in major areas of the store get blocked by palettes, carts and, trash cages. Then they look at me like an asshole when I move them away from the center of the isle...Freaking stupid children (they might as well be anyway)

In the world of television, I'm going to say a laugh track. Nothing annoys me more than a show trying to make me laugh just because I can hear other people laughing. In earlier years it may have been a way to create immersion to make it feel like people are actually at the location but for me it simply doesn't work. If a show makes me laugh without a laugh track its good but I don't think a show has ever made me laugh just because I can hear some canned laughter.... Big Bang Theory I'm looking at you!

In reality I think its scary obsessions. People on twitter will probably know what I mean when they look at what's trending and see some garbage like '1Directioners for life' '1D is eternal'. It gets to a point where being a fan of something begins to take over your life and you start looking like a bit of a freak. I'm all for people liking things but if it starts to take over your regular life to the extent where your Twitter identity has to be a fanclub for this thing then that's where it gets too much.

Idiots who seem to be deathly afraid of going at reasonable road-speeds (I'm talking about idiots who go 65km/h in towns where it's only legal to go 50km/h, but on the other hand they seem to get stuck at 75km/h on country-roads where it's legal to go 80km/h).
