I'll start off with
my house: it creeks and is noise at night (I live in a Queenslander, but it's being renovated)
My street: It's turned in to a total upperclass suburbia and there are 4wheel drives parked everywhere (the ones that never go off road) and the owners of these cars do not look after there kids while they run around the street and appear from out of nowhere from behind these cars
Brisbane: (sigh) it is a country town that has expanded into a giant suburbia that has a country town attitude towards change (socialy).
There are traffic conjestions, peak hour last from 2:30 (form the 4wheel drive mums picking up there kids from school) - 6:30 (It has lasted till sometime past 7pm, of course that's if one bridge or the gateway become blocked).
Public transport isnt reliable, the buses take up too much room on the roads, and most of the drivers are pricks, the main roads are like 2 lanes wide, with only 5-8 being 3 or more, and the majority are 1 lane. There are road works constantly.
Suburban Mcdonalds.
The Valley, well okay it's pretty good as an entertainment precinct, but has been over run by fuckwits and bevans, too much crappy techno(that no one dances too) gets played, most of the live music venues you cant really hang out in (Besides Rics), they are trying too up sell it too higher class people by having ritzy clubs like cloudland and the buffalo club, which i feel is not what the valley became popular for or why people opened up clubs there.
The lord Mayor Cambell Newman Is trying to make us like Sydney and Melbourne at the same time.
Our CBD is a joke, it's small with barely any good clothe shops to buy at(yes i do dress Indie/Scene), and the good ones are expensive, also it's a bit of a prick to get into and park since it costs nearly $30 park somewhere.
While our live music scene is Okay at best, most bands arent that good, just copy someone else or are cover bands which should NOT be classifed as live music, because a CD sounds better.
Ow yeah the city was built on a swamp.
South east Queensland: Bevans on the Gold Coast, Bevans on the the Sunshine Coast, Bevans in Ipswich, Redcliffe, Gold Coast hinterlands, Logan and various other areas.
Queensland: Well as far as most states go we are behind on everything socialy(Music, Fashion and Political).
Our State Gouvernment and it's departments.
State Of Origin although i blame NSW just as much.
People calling NRL(National Rugby Leage) footy when they use there foot to kick the ball less then 20% of the time.
People saying that league is the national football, When clearly it is AFL (Australian Rules Football).
Australia: Okay, alot of the stuff i dont like has been said before and i agree with so i'll just go through my stuff
The Rudd Government.
Kevin Rudd (he is a two timing little weasle and a control freak)
Penny Wong, i think she deserves a speceal mention, because i hate her so god dam much.
The fact that we are becoming a nanny state where we dont decide on what we can do and the government deciding whats right for us, Sin taxes anyone?
they havent gotten rid of the states (we dont need them anymore)
the health and education systems are terrible and going down
We think we are a bigger player on the world stage then what we are
We brown nose the Americans (No offence, but we do) and make crappy remakes of there TV programs but make them AUSTRALIAN! Also whenever we get a good American or Britsh TV show it is put on late, then later and later then dumped because it is too late for anyone too watch
Telstra.
People starting gangs: Blood and Crip wannabe's, White Supremasists. I hope the poor Indian students dont get fed up with the bashings and racism and start another gang because we'd probly have another cronulla riot
The fact that Austraslian slang is becoming less and less e.g. you'll notice i'm using Bevan as i'm from Queensland, but now the Umbrella term of Bogan (Chavs in England and i suppose Rednecks [minus the guns] in America) is being used more commonly.
Most of the eastern World thinks we are wankers, dont know about the west so much.
Australia the Movie was reviewed very biasedly here and people went and saw it but none of them would have seen the Proposition.
Censorship, with the Arts and TV.
Movies being made to be Australian (Thanks again govournment)
That's all i can think of now, been ranting waaaaaaaaay too long and too tired to spell check
