Every game needs to autosave AFTER a cut scene. I don't mind dying and having to repeat a section if I die, but there is nothing more annoying than having to sit through the same bloody video a million times. I remember this in Uncharted 2 where there was a locked door. I kept going the wrong way and falling to my death. I ended up watching the cut scene of the characters running up to the door and finding it locked about ten times. I know it's locked. You don't have to show me every single time I die. It's like the developers think that I short term memory loss.

Regenerating health and a cover system, every genre needs this.
What about RTS? What about pokemon? Would the pokemon take cover in battle?
You already covered pokemon, so for rts yes. Almost all RTS have a bunker building, placing those units behind the bunker with the enemy on the other side would regenerate their hp, however they would not be able to attack and would take extra dmg if the enemy was able to flank them.

Comprehensive settings: for everything visual, a bunch for audio, complete keymapping, accurate mouse sensitivity configuration...

And soup. Every game needs a bit of soup.
Made by you naturally.
I make a soup so vicious it'll knock a llama's teeth off!
Would it be possible for me to have a sample sometime?
If you can name the four most important things that Winston Churchill said, intentionally using a slightly higher pitch voice than usual, in a 1944 radio interview, regarding the dental hygiene of South American animals.

Then I might just consider it.

Bejewled: now with cover based combat
You get a set amount of walls each round, a wall pauses the game for a set amount of time allowing you a few extra seconds to see where your next move will be. Or, it regenerates some of the time you have left.

Skippable cutscenes. It doesn't sound like a big deal but the fact that theres an option makes a huge difference. Also just make it a simple button press and not something you have to go into the main menu for as it's just irritating!
Tho i think most games should have skippable cutscenes, i don't think it should just be a simple button used to skip them. I can't tell you how many times i've been watching a game cutscene, only to accidentally press the skip button, then spend the entire rest of the game wondering what the hell i missed
And this is why I think the ability to PAUSE a cutscene is even more important than the ability to skip it. Though being able to skip it is very good too.

Re-playability, beyond stupid achievements. Make different endings, or lots of things to do on the side, or the campaign is either a good story or it's just loads of fun.

I get tired of "collect 100 blanks" or " Do this 50 times". That's just not fun at all, that's just grinding. Me no likey grinding.

The ablity to Mod. Lets face it everything is better with a good mod community (I?m talking about developers kit style, not Halo 3?s forge but it was a good start), it gives new content, fixes bugs and can prolong a games life. What?s not to like? (apart form the dick joke mods etc)

Eh, I can see where it might work, but it seems like Blitz is so based around that tight time limit that regenerating health would sorta ruin it.

1.) autosave
2.) a story that doesn't make me want to break the tv
3.) boobies XP
4.) good voice acting
5.) and an option at the begining of the game if you want to play it normaly or with everything unlocked/ all cheats on. (just for fun)
