Having to button mash during "cut scenes" in order to get something done but if though your finger is about to set on fire from going so fast the game still fails you(I'm looking at you Resident Evil 5!). I'm not a machine! We can only button mash so fast!
Games without Autosave. I kinda got used to that and now when I go back and play older games that didn't have it, and then I die and lose, like 14 hours of play time.
Games where they make you drop all your weapons except for your melee weapon. then you get it all back, but all your ammo is almost gone. and you couldov had A million rounds for that and A handful of hard to get ammo for this.

since you brough prototype up, I just have to say the boss fight with elizabeth greene sucks. more than once ive been knocked off a wall by a hunter, right into her scream-y shockwave thing, and before i can even think about getting up, she pelts me with her vomit rocks and i die.
Multiplayer noobs! the kind who either host with a bad connection and think they are 1337, or specifically alllll the camping chainsaw noobs in gears 2. Also, the unfair bosses makes me so mad. best example is Sonic Unleashed, when fighting the 2 large enemies in the end of Eggmanland they both do nothing but spam their jump shockwave over again and you cant get up and die. Or the cheap kill of them using that shockwave to knock you off the building in Empire City. Another would be people who get into muliplayer matches and quit out of them (gears 1 mostly, but 2 as well). If you do not want to play the game, dont get in it in the first place. or suck it up and take the enemy head on. There are people better then you playing, and you wont get better until you fight them to get better. Quitting as soon as you seem to start to lose is a sure fire way to make sure your whole team loses at your fault.

Any game that has those moments that dont make sense, like why cant we just shoot the badguy while hes monolouging? Or sneak up behind this guy and stab him, or attack this guy at any time instead of having to wait for a specific scene, I hate that crap, it drives me nuts and kills all immersion.
