People who flip out when I say that the original Prince of Persia was a piece of shit and deserves to be forgotten, especially when compared to gold like the last two CoD games.
Cliffhanger endings. Some games handle it well, but most of the time it comes of as a cash grab. If you're going to do this, please wrap up the current plot first.
Unfounded controversy. I think this one speaks for itself.
The way Activision handles things. They've been over-saturating the market with their stuff and I seriously hope they learn from what happened with Guitar Hero.

Oh, the prequels were certainly good for seeing why you don't want George Lucas in charge of calling the shots. He wasn't really in charge for the original trilogy until near the end of Return of the Jedi, and that's how we got Ewoks.icame said:

It is not to say a change always does inevitably bring something good.
But in reality they only mean it towards things they don't feel strongly about. They are perfectly fine keeping the object of their affection exactly the same forever, so the very moment anything about something they love changes, gameplay or otherwise:
