And not the "LOL" kind of "Hah", it's the "I really didn't even know that was possible" kind.

Let me explain. After playing a lengthy session of Batman AA i was sliding around hoping Batman would get some kind of friction burn (ya know, run and crouch = slidy thingy). After fucking up a stealth encounter i wanted to slide away and i accidently slided (slid? slidded?) into a metal grate. The damn thing couldn't contain the awesomeness which is Batman, and caved. Completely. Damn, i thought. That's new. I had already finished the game 3 times.

So my question to you: Did you ever have a moment in videogaming where you thought: "Damn, i didn't know that was possible.. sure could have been handy a while ago.."?

Sorry for the bad english, not my first language..

GTA5. Slight mission spoiler upcoming...

After watching so many videos before I got the game myself about how apparently it's sooooooooooo tough to get into the military base, I needed the Cargobob for the Trevor heist. I attempted to be all covert in one try, even drove around the perimeter of the base trying to find a way to sneak in.

Then I just strolled to the front gate, took down the guards there, took out a few more on foot, grabbed a truck, rolled to the Cargobob and took off. Quick and easy, and shook the Apache helicopter giving chase afterwards as well.

That was a big HAH! Needless to say I'll be going for the fighter jet in the very near future.

With the release of the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, I've learnt a lot about a game I thought I knew well. Like the fact that your max MP is what determines the strength of your magic and magic related attacks, the fact you can freeze the bubbles in Hollow Bastion to use as platforms, or the fact that you can actually completely skip 2 worlds if you want to.

It's usually little things I learn, small discoveries that have big impact.

Like when I learned holding shift would keep me from falling off things in Minecraft... OMG did that ever make my building life soooo much easier!

Or when I learned you should ALWAYS abuse the Steal skill in every Final Fantasy game

Most recently a little indie game called Gnomoria that after about 50 hours sunk in I finally learned I could zoom the map out by holding shift while rolling the mousewheel... such a tiny thing that made a HUUUUGE difference.

Are you sure it was AA and not City? I've tried doing the sliding thing dozens of times in AA, because I played City first and figured the first game allowed you to do it. But I never managed to pull it.

I know one of them is Monstro. Which one is the other one? Olympus? Cause I completely skipped Olympus on my first KH run, thinking I had to wait more before I could get Phil's attention (never occurred to me to try shoving the block TWICE). But I did it eventually, so I don't know if I could've skipped it entirely.

Actually you can skip one of the second phase worlds, and most people choose to skip Atlantica (since high jump is good to have, and Atlantica's controls are meh). The other is indeed Olympus.

I believe it's called sequence breaking.

Well the real sequence breaking is doing Hollow Bastion before Monstro, where you get some different scenes due to the events in HB.

Finding out about stab attacks in Pokemon. That would have been useful during the times when most of the attacks my party Pokemon had were not the same type as it so I could 'surprise the opponent'.

When I found out that you could drink continuously in the FPS Fallout games by holding down the interact button. Leaning in and out takes much longer than you'd think, apparently.

Very minor thing, but fun to play around with, in GTA V you can hit B (Xbox 360) or Circle (PS3) right after jumping and you'll perform of pratfall. Can make for some fairly funny moments. I like to initiate fights with it. What better way to do so than awkwardly throwing your body at your opponent?

Running in Resident Evil 4. Not knowing that it was possible made the game really scary. Especially when those goddamn Regenerators turned up. I don't remember when I discovered that I can run, though. It may have bean near the end or on the second playthrough.

Learning I could throw knives/axes/holy water in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Sure as heck would have helped out on the first boss...

It took me many many many and many more hours to figure that out myself. In fact, I didn't discover it by accident, I saw it on a let's play and asked what's the mod for that. >.>
