I can't take soap operas seriously. It seems that a mere week after a beloved associate dies, the cast completely forgets them and a whole new dramatic plot emerges, usually involving affairs or rivalries. The sub-par acting doesn't help, either.

I was on a plane about a week ago and I had the torture of sitting directly in front of a crying baby. Trying not to get angry over it I got my Ipod out and started listening to music at top noise. About 10 minutes later the person next to me got upset because he could hear the music from my headphones and couldn't sleep with it all the while the baby kept crying at the top of its lungs!.
I thought it was a joke so I only turned the volume down a little; but the next thing I knew he ripped the Ipod out of my hand and started getting very loud at me, when I tried to say that the baby was a greater distraction he just said that he hated the music I liked.
I just can't take people with that sort of prejudice seriously.
what bugs you/ what can't you take seriously?
Similar to this, on Planes I can't take seriously people who expect me to accommodate for their screaming babies. Or perhaps just anybody who expects you to accommodate their problems no questions asked,
Babies can't be consoled if their ears are popping and they're in a strange environment. What would you prefer, leaving them in the cargo hold? I understand crying babies are annoying as hell, but more often than not there is little the parent or the baby can do to stop it, and I bet the parent is really embarrassed as well.

However, ten-year olds who kick the back of your seat are a different story...

Babies are pretty annoying, but you can't really be too mad about it, because it's a little person, with it's own will. If I see a baby crying and the parents are making no attempt to resolve the situation...that's infuriating. But if they're struggling, they have my sympathies and patience. Still, he shouldn't be snatching at your things.

Last time I was on a plane, the girl in front of me wanted to recline her chair, and didn't see any need to stop when it met resistance from my knees(she looked around...she knew she was bashing my legs). I got annoyed and launched her forward...suddenly I'm the bad guy.

That's my peeve, people who are knowingly inconsiderate of the people around them...and it doesn't bother them. I have no respect for such people, they're shitty people.

My parents, depending on topic.

Usually, religion. They support that Koran burning guy. I don't think I really need to explain any more.

Militants / fundamentalists: If you aggressively put forth your viewpoint, it stops sounding like you are trying to convince others, it sounds like you are trying to convince yourself.

I'll believe or think whatever I damn well please, thank you.

Scientologists. So many have earnestly tried to prove to me that their 'religion' is not just a pyramid scheme. I might try taking them seriously once they dislodge their mouths from David Miscavige's...yeah, I'll stop there.

And Aussie politicians, every time they say 'fair shake of the sauce bottle, mate.'

I also have a plane experience.
I was in a plane on my way to Israel and there was this jewish guy next to me who kept banging his head back and forth over his little black bookthingy.
He kept humming and shaking his head and driving me crazy!
I just couldn't take him seriously.

30 Seconds To Mars fans. They're like emos...crossed with fangirls... but far, far, far worse. If you've ever been on the Kerrang website and read the comments, you'll know what I mean.

Jehovas witnesses. I had one senior lady trying to convince me so much to join them that when I told her I believed in evolution over creation, she had the audacity to say they were both right or something along those lines that made no sense, losing immeasurable credibility there and then

Let's see... "Hardcore" anime, recreational sports leagues, and anyone who wears their ballcap with a straight brim.

Let me add to that, the ones who leave hat-size sticker on their flat brim. I've been told it's supposed to make it look like you stole it, which if true both doesn't make sense and is stupid.

*WARNING: MINIATURE RANT*

erm... chavs and gangstas. I also hate people who flame racial hate on forums, people who judge others based upon religion. I really hate people locked in 360/PS3 CoD/Halo flamewars. I hate small children, I hate hypocrites and people who blame dying in multiplayer games on glitches/lag. I hate romantic comedies and people who take their babies/bratty little gremlin children to public places (e.g. a nice restaurant, cafe or movie theatre.)and people who band together to destroy someone's life and crush their soul, bullying them everytime they raise their head. (Equally, though, I hate people that do irritating, cocky things that practically beg for this treatment, in which case, go ahead!)

Oh, and people who say so-and-so isn't a zombie game/movie because the zombies run.

I always thought leaving the stickers and tags on were to let everyone know that its brand new. In other words, you have money and are willing to spend it on fancy new things. Either way, whenever I see it all I feel is an awkward embarassment.
