OOH! OOH! I've got one!
This is thrown at us transgendered individuals quite a bit: the label of "trap", which frames us as sexual predators of a sort, turning straight men and women gay by luring them in for a "surprise". Fuck that shit. Truth be told, someone's going to know of my origins before I even think of getting into some sort of non-platonic relationship with them, regardless of gender. If it's what they want, they know waaay beforehand. Only idiots could call that a trap.

I quit smoking years ago when the ban came in, I was a casual smoker at best anyway (smoked about ten a week mostly when I was having a pint on the weekend)
I think last year I was round a friends house and someone passed over a joint, Ive never been a big fan of the weed but I thought I'd have a go.
Anyway the other day was talking with a guy from work about how long ago we quit and he said "you smoke after you've had a few beers"
To which I replied "what!? no I don't!"
"yeah I've seen ya"

ok let's just make up facts shall we.
I dunno why I'm offended by it I know it's rubbish, I guess I'm paranoid other people might think I've got a secret addiction I won't admit lol
but still, STOP MAKING THINGS UP ABOUT OTHERS!!

I don't think that falls into the same category as what the OP is talking about. They're adopting the label of an existing, vocal political ideology. To then complain about others assuming that they follow the precepts of said ideology is a little silly, since it's a reasonable assumption to make. It's like proudly proclaiming you're a republican, then getting pissy that you have to specifically state that you're not against abortion, oppose the death penalty, or support taxing the most wealthy.

The problem with claiming labels like that as a shortcut is that they don't end up being shortcuts unless you DO toe the party line in every respect.
What.

This is about people assuming the worst things. The worst things about feminism is not the majority of it. That's what people fail to recognise.
And I guess I should only identify with things that have no bad sides and are perfect. Like being a atheist. Or gamer, or human. Oh bugger.

You seem to have trouble with selective reading, since I've seen you miss/ignore this self-same point before. "Feminism," as it exists now, is a political movement with very clear agendas, goals, and philosophies. You do not get to define what feminism is, as far as adopting the label goes, and reality does not care what the OED calls it, so quoting dictionary definitions is pointless and disingenuous. The current feminist movement is defined by what those loudest and most effective groups using the label accomplish, so differentiating yourself from them is your responsibility, no one else's.

Actually, feminism is wide and varied, so yeah I do get to define what it means to me.
So, discriminating and assuming are fine if the person is a feminist?
Also, please point me towards the feminist political headquarters, because I've been a feminist since forever and its never been a place with certain agendas that everyone agrees on. It's more an exchange of ideas and an open dialogue about gender roles.

Chrisitianity gets a whole lot of attention for the WBC but that doesn't mean everybody treats them like they're a freaking card carrying member.

But whatever, dude, you think what you like.

I got accused of trying to fit in where I shouldn't be, by a guy who I introduced to the group of friends. That didn't work out for him.

Aside from that, people just assume I lie all the time because most of my friends didn't grow up in poor areas, so they assume all my stories about getting mugged or getting into fights between 6 people are all lies because they've never seen a situation when it could happen.

People have accused me of being boring, mostly because I don't drink, or smoke, or party, or get angry when I'm being insulted. That's fine. I don't hold it against them, because I can plainly see why they'd say it. If I were them, seeing me from their perspective, I'd say I was boring too. :p
Haha, I can just see it in front of me.

"What the hell *your name* why are you always so boring and calm? Get angry sometimes!"

"I'm sorry."

"-.-"

OT: I ain't got a thing. Most negative things people say about you here is behind your back. We're not very open with things like that here in Sweden. I'm sure people have assumptions of me, I just don't know what they are.

1. I expect perfection from a man hence why I struggle to get one. I do not - I just don't want to go out with somebody because it is expected of me. There is a difference between being friendly and flirty!

2. I have no social life or friends. I have friends and a social life I just prefer to sit at home and chill after a forty hour week at work!

3. I'm gay because I don't get up an hour early before work to apply my makeup. I don't wish to impress anybody at work - I put my face on when I go out in the evening for a drink.
Like I said before, here in Sweden we're not as open, but still I must ask, how the heck do you people get into these conversations that only ends in insults?

Yeah, don't you love being labeled and generalised.

I love being called nostalgic blind because I believe games were better awhile ago. Can you believe I was told I'm blinded by rose-titnted glasses because I reckon the 70s was the best for music? I'm slightly over 20, I wasn't born then you fuck head! You know who you are

I'm also called elitist because I don't agree with some righteous zealots that all art is equal.

Why the hell am I a fanboy when I complain about something in a game? I reckon your the fanboy if you're going so defensive over nothing.

Heres one of my favourites. I'm a nerd for playing games (I don't even talk about them around people) but COD (or any realistic piece of shit) is the exception, even if you talk about it all the time.

What happened to you last night?

OT I guess the only thing I've heard is that when I show an interest in tech people assume I know EVERYTHING about it and it's just like "no, it doesn't work like that".
To cut to the chase: There was a flask of Tequila with my name on it. Seems like I gave some people something to laugh about, and I don't mind.

People acusing me of not having a life just because I think staying home and writing is more fun than going out and getting shitfaced. Or that I "have no friends.". I admit I don't have many, but the one I get together with for lunch every week is the type if friend I can talk about anything with, even really personal stuff. So fuck you, I don't need three more, this one is just fine.

Here in rural Australia, people are dicks.
If they don't like something they will insult it, I get random people I've never met coming up to me and telling me to cut my hair because "Men shouldn't have long hair", "you look like a girl" and my personal Favorite "It's gross for men to have long hair".
Another thing I got smack about was when I bought an anime for the store the shop clerk said something along the lines of "weirdo..."
Such lovely people.

I usually go out of my way to not talk to people or attract attention to myself so I haven't had many generalizations thrown at me. I have however felt the sting of playing video games and therefore will clearly be a virgin for life.
I also have no friends so clearly im either a creep or a terrible person. In reality I just don't like talking to people in real life.

Huh... I'm growing my hair right now, it's only just touching my shoulders right now, and so far I haven't gotten any real complaints. But who knows, maybe I push the wrong buttons with some people by having long hair. I'm also sporting a small beard, which I've actually been told to shave, but not in any rude way.

I've been thinking, are we in Sweden just Canadians in disguise?

I don't really know because if they are the type of person to say stuff like that I do my best to avoid them.
All I know I'm called is a nerd or gay for having glasses/not caring about how my hair looks.

I get a lot of people assuming that, just because I'm a Christian, I will blindly accept anything I'm told as true, I'm incapable of reasoning and making my own decisions, I don't understand any science, and that I hate most scientists, gays, Muslims, etc. It doesn't matter that I've just done physics and mathematics A levels. Lots of people just view me as an ignorant and intolerant idiot.

I think the best heckle about his long hair my ex got was the unintentional one.
We were walking home late at night from seeing a movie and we passed a stereotypical pisshead, staggering and drinking out of a bottle in a bag.
As we passed him, he tipped his hat and slurred `Night, ladies`.
My ex was like `Did he just say-?`
I just told him to keep walking.

Still, it was pretty funny.
