The double side coin of stuff about our operating systems. Ranging from things like updates, to limitations, to just plain oddities in the OS it self, and things the OS does unusually well. Basically all of the positives and negatives.
I use Lubuntu(the LXDE version of Ubuntu) as my Primary operating system, with a partition for LXDE Fedora, and an unused partition for Windows 7(too lazy to do the install as it stands.)
In both versions of my flavor of Linux I've run into some annoying issues. One is due to my graphics card and a bug in all Linux flavors I cannot use proprietary drivers for my GPU. Nvidia X-server drivers just cause my OS to lock up when the video card is used. Also in Lubuntu I get nearly a hundred megs of updates several times a week. Which causes me to often need to purge old software, OS components, and drivers. The plus side is that I need WINE to run windows programs, and it runs old Windows 95 and 98 games like a champ, where most OSes require massive tweaks to the games to make them run. The downside to WINE is it's really slow on newer windows games. Fedora though holds the second issue. With my Grub boot tool it sometimes fails to show up on the list.
I have different Linux flavors running on multiple partitions on various other PCs I have too. They're all fantastic, and they all share the issue of large and frequent updates. The flip side is that they're all blazing fast. Also anymore when I get a video card, proprietary drivers, and the OS to cooperate I have wider and wider access to games through steam as they've learned that Linux users are a large part of their market base. Steam will even run WINE if I force it to download a windows only game. Though I do have to force it to do the download with some Linux trickery.
