Text speak (br instead of before) and excessive abbreviations piss me off to no end. I can understand using GTA:4/Vice City/ etc. instead of the entire Grand Theft Auto: Vice City or COD4 instead of Call of Duty 4. But when you have a long string of abbreviations (i.e. GTA, TF2 GOW SR etc.) it just gets confusing and highly irritating.

When people writing in Swedish use English expressions for which there is no call. Like saying "Jag ska ha frosting med jordgubbssmak på mina kakor" when the word that should be used is "glasyr", not "frosting".

Wow, I've got a list of stuff I don't like online. but I'll just write my top 3.

1. Glitches, hackers and just over all cheating. If you can't play the game fairly then why bother to play at all.

2. Gamer tags in 1337 speak, the sad thing is I can understand most of them. Also tied in with this category, is gamer tags that depict racism, sectarianism and so on. Example, I played some guy under the name. Fuck-JewZ. It just pisses me off.

1. General assholes, these are people who take the game to seriously, curse to make themselves look more mature, act surprised when a girl plays online. I could keep going.

Websites (even the escapist on a couple of occasion) that show/produce statistics on suject XYZ without showing the methodology, the REAL source (a direct link to the meaningfull stuff) the authors and shows a graph that shows the data the correct way (no manpulations like removing "dont know" answers from a yes/no/dont know question, or the graph doesnt start at zero).

..You know, stuff that shows if a statistic has any value. Because its very easy to make stats say whatever you want when you manipulate them.

Gamertags similiar to yours, and those twelve year olds who think it's funny to spell like they are functionally retarded and give themselves '1337' names. Especially the ones who try to act hard over the internet, letting off racial slurs and random chains of swearwords like it's the biggest thing since sliced bread.

Oh, and when they read my gamer tag as Darth Eye See Oh, when it's Ico, I think it's because the Ico part is in capitals. Jesus, has no one on live ever played Ico? If not, I am ashamed to be on the same online community as them.

I use Pumbli everywhere, very often guys think I'm a girl trying to write "Plum" or something like that.

I also hate it when I'm on a server with a bunch of people and one guy has a mic that he's spamming some foreign language into, not stopping though nobody reponds.

  People who complain about adverts on the site. Ad-blocker exists for that reason. And they are needed to keep the site up and running.

The self-righteous grammar police. When people post in threads with nothing constructive apart from slagging off other peoples literary prowess. Most of the time they're silly mistakes not a sin against God. Lighten up or grow up, if I can understand the other persons words then it's almost certain that you can as well and your bitching is either attention seeking, trying to look grown up on the internet or just being a dick.

I dislike acronyms outside of a 'pay per word' environment or when you need to type quickly.

The player base on World Of Warcraft;I think the game is goo just not the people playing it.

Lastly 'leaning' on the old Medal of Honour games, I was terrible at shooting the people who did that and couldn't do it myself.

I also cannot stand the Grocer's Apostraphe. That's the apostraphe (the ' sign) that turns up where it isn't meant to be

That either implies the dog's possession (like I just used there) or the Dog Is, as in I brought two dog is. That makes no sense.

I dislike people who take the game too seriously. I can understand that gamers whose pleasure is intrinsically linked with their victory exist but I can't imagine what would ever compel these people to invest in a microphone.

The only times I use a mic online involve telling those people to calm down or when using a vent for raiding on WoW.
