Pokecentre's.

I always saw the balls beeing put in to that Centre Healing thingy, like a tray of cupcakes beeing heated.
Then i'd go like: "wait there's Pokemon in them". *the mental images*

No thank you nurse Candycane, i'll heal them myself....
Really? That's it? Not the fact that Nurse Joy says "We hope to see you again soon!" right after handing back your freshly-healed-from-being-beaten-to-a-pulp Pokemon?

OT: There's a bathroom on the Normandy in Mass Effect 2 and 3. The creepier part? There's only one bathroom on the Normandy in Mass Effect 2 and 3. And it's in the Captain's Quarters.

Eating snow... Lot's of people do it but... Well...

Snow is formed from evaporated water...
Water comes from the sea...
Drains flush into the sea...
Drains flush out shit, piss and vomit as well as period blood, evidence and wank tissues....

If you have ever eaten snow or got it on your tongue, face, whatever you have been covered in what is essentially semen, blood, piss and hastily destroyed child pornography...

Just think about that for a minute...
That is true for normal water too, however.

Meh, not creeped out.

Mrs.Doubtfire the movie.

If you think really long and hard about it, the whole scenario with a father obsessed with his kids dresses up as a woman to get close to them so that his wife won't take them away. It's just really creepy.

I'll leave this here for you.

Edit: Damn Ninja.

Not really sure if it's creepy or not, but if there is other sentient life out there (which there most likely is), it is going to be something so incredibly alien and unrecognizable from us, we may not even be able to tell that it is a life form. Hell, we probably look like fucking freaks to whatever else is out there.

I read an interesting short story about it somewhere... lemme see if I can find it. Ahh, here it is.

Makes you think.

Let's be honest with ourselves; anything can become creepy if you think about it long enough or in just the right way.
This guy's got the right idea. But here's another one just 'cause...
Your teeth? Exposed bones. Go ahead and lick 'em. Bones. Do all the bones in your body feel that way?
Also, humans aren't the only species that wages war or creates art, not so much creepy as mildly mind-boggling.
Slave maker ants wage large scale wars. And bower birds create art along with several other species of animal.

There are no bathrooms in any open world RPG's....

Speaking of open world RPG's, there are no children in the world, while you don't notice it much its when you do notice it that it gets creepy.
skyrim
fallout 3
new vegas

all have bathrooms and children
human revolution at least has bathrooms and the original deus ex has both children and bathrooms.
even dragon age has bathrooms and children (considering that for "medieval" settings, a bathroom basically means a bucket full of water and a bucket to shit in in the corner of a room)
i know it's a favorite for many people but bathrooms are actually not that uncommon in RPGs

Speaking of TLK, you know whats even more creepier then that? Being able to talk with your food. On top of that, I find it hard to believe all those animals would willingly bow before the birth of Simba when in all likelihood that's just another lion they will have to stomp to death once it approaches their family.

I always thought it was a strange relation that the lions in the lion king had with the rest of the animals. I mean, when a new cub is born, everone gathers around pride rock and kneels in respect. But why?
Funnily enough, the third Lion King movie (yes there was 3) answers the question of why the animals bowed an Simba's birth.

So yeah, that kinda changes the context of the animals relationship in the first movie.

When I start thinking about how fragile the human body is. I start feeling how my muscles, ligaments and bones are moving my body around; I start hearing my heart beat/pulse; I can almost feel how easily a bullet or a knife or a fall could end my life... Creeps me out =( Also why I can't watch Mortal Kombat videos.

... Yes, I'm a tad morbid at times >_>

And the reason I know it, is because I'm a WoD fan - Caine, as in the biblical one, was cursed by God for the murder of his brother and became the first vampire. He was also banished to Nod and later came back, there is even a fairly influential book in canon called "The book of Nod" which is a vampiric Bible of sorts.

Needless to say, it's based on the Bible but WoD doesn't really follow it that closely, so I don't take it as a infallible source on the thing.

And interesting bit of trivia for CnC there, I honestly never noticed the connection. Then again, I haven't actually played it as much (just a bit of Tiberian Sun and a tinier bit of Renegade), and certainly none of the campaign, but I did know enough about it to be able to spot the reference.
Man I love WoD. :D
My group is currently doing Werewolf and I love it.
We're doing Hunter soon aswell.
I'm actually about to start a game of Vampire: The Masquerade with some friends (our first RP) soon so this is a happy little coincidence to see this here. We're in the character creation stage at the moment so it's a little daunting trying to make really fleshed out characters like it encourages. It's a fun experience though that might last years so it's definitely worth it.

OT: I think creepy for me had to go when I found out about in the Japanese Super Mario Bros. instruction manual, it says that residents of the mushroom kingdom were turned into blocks o_O So... are you killing Toads when you smash the blocks?
I love Masquerade! Have been going to a LARP for it for over two and a half years now. Played as a Ventrue for over two years, moving about almost every position in the city. Started as a Whip, then became Primo, then became a Deputy, then a Harpy. Wound up back in Primo by the end, but pretty much everytime I shifted positions, I was always bumped back as either the Primo or the Whip for a while. Eventually wound up as one of the highest standing Kindred in the game (6 status total I believe, and fourth in terms of standing city wide in a game of ~50), and was pretty much serving as the Prince's right hand man thanks to our Ventrue buddy system.

That LARP ended though about half a year ago, and so a new group of people took over as ST's. Came back in as a Lasombra, and have been the Prince of the city since the end of the first game (Praxis is awesome). While my Ventrue was a lot more of a straightforward character (the initial concept being one of few honest business people you would come across), I've had a lot more experience since my start, and created a much more fleshed out character. Italian by birth around the 1850's, fled to London after being framed for murder, fled to New York after being brought in as a suspect in the Jack the Ripper slayings, and finally creating his own gambling operation to make ends meet when he wound up in NYC. Embraced a bit before the turn of the century, he stayed with his Sire for a decade before making his own way, and become a major player in organized crime. Embraced his first Childe in the mid 1920's, who stayed with him until around the 50's, when the two split up to manage different operations. He went off to Chicago to deal with things there, popping back from time to time to visit his Childe in NYC and make sure everything was running smoothly. What he didn't know was that his Childe was thinking of creating a Childe of his own, a flight attendant for Pan Am at the time. He got her fired, and started to test her to see how strong her will and fortitude were before it was found out, and he was dragged back to Chicago after being ordered to deal with the girl. The Childe didn't though, instead giving her a few things to make it on her own, before explaining he had to go. She was destroyed by this, after having developed an obsession for the Childe, when a Malk came around, saw the shattered individual she was, and decided to have her crazy embraced. Her Sire even masked as the Childe of mine as he embraced her, just to fuck her head up even more.

That's the most juicy part of the backstory, highlighting the dynamic between Salvatore (myself), Eric (my Childe), and Quinn (the Malk), but it goes on from there. Sorry, I just kinda got into a grove while writing there and kinda splurged about my character since you brought up character creation. There are few that I don't know who I get to explain it all to without either a chance for Meta-Gaming, or a total lack of understanding, so I kinda just went straight off there!

Though, on a final note, some people in my city think I'm insane. They hear the Prince speak in a deep, clear tone when anything important is done up. Get him in private though, or trigger an emotional state, and he slips back into his natural accent, which is a thick Brooklyn one since he learned English in NYC. Has made quite a few heads spin when suddenly the Prince goes from talking very formal to making a couple cracks in this whiney Brooklyn tone. Even got the vote for most enjoyable player last game because people apparently loved it. My Seneschal stared at me for at least half a minute when he heard it for the first time.

We only applied ethics and morals to that retroactively, it's a strange one.

The fact that Ghosts not only exist and are accepted in Pokemon Lore but that it's been documented and proven that humans can become ghosts under specific conditions. Living in a world where Pokemon can influence, manipulate and even eat your dreams is bad enough but as Pokemon's universe expands it seems to get darker and, darker...Also I'm having trouble finding my source link...dammit.
Did you know that there's a pokemon version of the Grim Reaper and a chandelier that eats people's life force? Yeah, Pokemon is a very f**ked up concept when you think about it.

"We tried to create the world's strongest pokemon... and we succeeded."

Anyway, a creepy thing to me is how blood turns from a vital oxygen delivery system for the whole body into a rough carapace type shell when exposed through an open wound. Sure, it's cool that the body protects itself, blocking out foreign particles and possible infections, but it just seems kind of... macabre.

we come in guns blazing and destroy everything in our path, forcing our belifs onto the world and when there is nowhere else to stampede we slaughter eachother for "Breathing space" (and yes thats a hitler reference). Our existence is to destroy existence of others.

I think the point here is that since the girl was laying on her bed, and her mother dragged her into the closet, the girl's mother was just kind of . . . chilling in the girl's bedroom closet. Which is kind of creepy.

Now you have to wonder if the thing in the closet is really the girl's mother at all, or if the thing in the kitchen is really the girl's mother, or perhaps neither are, although somehow none of those seem as creepy to me as the prospect of the girl's mother just . . . chilling in her daughter's bedroom closet. I suppose she could be hiding from the thing downstairs, but to not even warn her daughter about it with, I dunno, hand signals or something?

Am I over-thinking it? Yes, but that's the point of this thread.

'Explaining' all the implications that follow from this one-paragraph horror would kinda spoil the experience... :/
Like all good horror, your imagination is meant to 'add something that would make it creepier', the story itself is just the springboard.

so... try again?
