This may be an unpopular opinion, but Dr. Strangelove. When you watch it now the jokes just seem cliched and unoriginal because of how many movies have tried to imitate it.

Yu-gi-oh, I have a 23 year old cousin who plays it still and it's slightly embarrassing. I played it when it was cool, but now...it's just kinda lost it's...cool juice.

Pocket watches. But what a magnificent dinosaur they were in their time.
Their day will come again! As soon as my job requires me to wear a three-piece, imma be all pocketwatch up in this ************.
I have two really nice pocket watches?

I would say they did stand the test of time since people are buying them over a hundred years later?

Yes, they are cool in my books too, but that doesn't change that they fell well and truely out of contemporary fashion. They are still around here and there, sure, but their popularity died off thus causing them to fail the test.

EDIT: I should just point out that the funny looking curved line with a dot - ? - is meant to follow a question, not two statements. I kid, I kid...

It may have been incredibly well written, but it was also incredibly boring. It's probably because I've been brought up on action packed fast paced fantasy, or maybe it's because I was Peter Jacksons master pieces first, but I was extremely disappointed by the Lord of the Rings.

I preferred the Hobbit. A talking Dragon or army of wolves may have caused Frodo to be a little less moody and poetic.
I also saw the movie first and then I read the books. The book is a little more confuzing when comes to explaing things and the characters are lot more staight forward. Gollem is evil from the getgo and Aragorn isn't as doubtfull about himself as he is in the movie. I loved the movie and watching the characters was a lot more enjoyable then it was in the books. But I did miss the passage of time from the books and I was really disappionted with the Paths of the Dead scene in the Special Edition.
Kinda the same as how I experienced Watchmen. Saw the movie first then read the 'comic'. I loved the movie but I missed the looming theat of nuclear war that was conveyed so well in the 'comic'.

If I really love something I tend to nitpick at it.
Most of the character changes is what makes the LotR adaptations fail in my eyes. Aragorn is suppose to be a leader of a Kigdom and lead men into war, he basically spent all his life getting ready for moment he crossed the Path of the Dead and lead the Free People into the Gates of Mordor. In the movies he went from Ranger to King in a moment. No evolution at all.

"Heres a sword now be a King dammit!"

Even Arthur didn't become King when he pulled Exacalibur from the stone. In the books the character Aragorn is a Ranger AND a King.

Boromir another character that the movies ruined and missed THE WHOLE POINT. In the books Boromir is a noble man, the Captain of Gondor and son to the Stewart of Gondor. He goes with the Fellowship and becomes corrupted and seduced by the Ring. In the movies he is an asshole that sometimes gets some lucid moments, that was sent by Denethor to bring the ring to Gondor.(Watch TTT Extended Edition Faramir flashback scene)

Let's not get into Faramir, in which poor old Tolkien would have a heart attack just by watching it, considering it was Tolkien's favourite and the character that was the reflection of Tolkien in Middle-Earth.

Frodo, Sam, Gollum, Treebeard, Theoden, Gimli, Saruman, Sauron the LightHouse, Gandalf, Arwen...So the only thing that Peter Jackson got 100% right was the looks of Middle Earth.

The characters were drasticly changed and the plot was also changed beyond stupid in some parts. It's still good movies, it's just better to forget the books while watching them.

ANYWAY ON TOPIC!

Power Rangers. It used to be so cool....But now I wonder "Why did I watch this? It's so bad >.<".

Harry Potter 1(The game). I remember liking it so much has a kid. I found an old copy of it in the attic 2 weeks ago. Installed and started playing but sadly it was just plain shit.
I used to love the harry potter games when I was a kid too. They're aweful once you look back on them.

Also, apparently Voldermort gave Harry a scar and a fucking huge head.

That's the way you should watch all movie adeptations. The book is the book and the movie is the movie. And they're both good in their own way.

But I can't! I grew up with the books, and I have most of them memorized....It's...so...hard.

Gundam. The idea of large explodey battles and giant robots smashing the fuck out of each other isn't something that should get old. It isn't, but Gundam get's worn down quickly by the excessive preachyness that just never lets up. It wasn't so bad the it's older incarnations, but to me the franchise is dead.

Dragon Ball Z also but then again that's a matter of opinion.

Scooby Doo. What the fuck is with this new shit?

The N64 Legend of Zelda games. Worst non-CDI Zeldas around.
What? Ocarina Of Time was epic!
I agree. In my opinion Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask both withstood the test of time quite well. I still play either one once in awhile when I get bored of modern games and, I have to say, I still enjoy them immensely.

Lord of the Rings IS still awesome!
Not what I said, read it again.
Lord of the Rings is still good. Not just because of what it's about or the unbelieveble detail, but also for the way it is written. Tolkien was a beast when it came to describing mood and atmosphere. Especialy with the Paths of the Dead, the fear and anguish just dripped of the page.
It may have been incredibly well written, but it was also incredibly boring. It's probably because I've been brought up on action packed fast paced fantasy, or maybe it's because I was Peter Jacksons master pieces first, but I was extremely disappointed by the Lord of the Rings.

I agree with this man.

I read all of R.A. Salvatores work, and pretty much everysingle Forgotten realms novel thats out there and LOTR isn't anything "Amazing" Its just normal.

I totally agree, I hated that failure.

Well, quirky tattoos, but that usually specific to the person.

I'm gonna say bio fuels, because they're all cheaper and yadda yadda yadda. Fantastic, where are you going to cut down to grow them?
