Here is a place where we share fashion that "just ain't cool, man!".

We all like to vent about people wearing ridiculous things. What do you find really unappealing in fashion?

Personally, I always thought that there was nothing worse than wearing sunglasses inside. Until I saw someone wearing sports sunglasses inside. The sight was unbearable.

Sports sunglasses are also generally not cool to me either. They scream 1990s and I haven't seen anyone outside the sport field that has pulled them off without looking like a try hard. Don't wear them!

Another favourite is the baseball cap on backwards! To anyone over the age of 8, this should be a universal rule. Don't do it!

Jeans with running shoes is another one!

And any form of baggy clothing!

So that is my rough list. What can the escapists add to it?

To discuss:

What is an everyday fashion item you see and just can't stand the sight off?

White belts... maybe if he was wearing a poncho it would equalise the coolness towards the coolness spectrum.

Anyone with any kind of "pants on the ground" style comes off as vastly annoying to me. It's not cool, I don't want to see that stuff.

Jeans with running shoes is fine with me.

Gages in ears, if they count, are unattractive to me, but that's just me.

Immodesty all around is kind of a turn off to me. I don't like it.

I hate the pre-torn jeans, too. They're... okay, if you're at a punk concert, I guess. I am wearing jeans that I authentically tore at some point. I think it was when I was climbing a tree and slipped a little XD

Well, the whole "gangsta" hip hop aesthetic just strikes me as ridiculous.
And the goth girls with shaved heads and stuff.

I mean by all means do your thing, but that's pretty ugly in my opinion, guys.

People who everything they wear is completely fashionable and expensive, you can tell they make so much effort to try impress with their clothes, it kind of seems needy or obsessive. I don't like fashionable clothes in general, I just like comfy jeans and slightly stylish shirts :p

Oh I agree, that's certainly a horrid sight.

Skinny Jeans...

I mean, doesn't that crap make you sterile,
Slimcut jeans and some skinny jeans are far more appealing than boot cut jeans. In the 18-25 age circle in this country, if you wear boot cut jeans you look like an old man. Everyone wears fitted jeans, and I love slimcut jeans on guys. But I do agree, real skinny leg jeans can be an awful sight.

Socks and sandals. I used to think it was just something you saw the odd middle-aged pommy tourist wear, but then I went to Hawaii with the family, and my god some yanks have bad taste.

Not to say some Aussies don't know appropriate dress. There was one moment at a bus stop when I saw and heard some kids talking (15 or 16 years old) and wanted to scream "NO! Wearing a scarf over over your Nike t-shirt, running shorts and old sneakers does not make you well dressed!"

'Fight Gear' You know, the shirts, shoes, hats, jeans etc with logos from various MMA related companies. Its moslty worn by people who wouldn't last 10 seconds in a training match, let alone a real one. Its like Ed Hardy, it just makes you look like a douchebag.

EVERYONE wears hoodies. The only hoodie I have is a vinyl jacket with a hood, but everyone at my school seems to own at least three.

I think the bigger issue here is wearing running shoes casually, Americans are especially awful with it. Unless you're playing sports or something, leave the trainers at home and wear some casual shoes.

And anything on People of Walmart, sorta goes without saying. Walmartians are a big DO NOT WANT.

The underwear/jeans pants hybrid that 'lil girls wear is sickening.
I see kids as young as 11 wearing this crap, the pants barely cover 20 CM of their thigh.
11 year old girls! That's insane.

Jeggings. No, just no.

Tracksuits. They're fine when people WHO ARE ACTUALLY EXERCISING wear them. But whenever I'm in town and I see someone who has clearly never been for a run in their life, most of the time actually devouring some fish and chips as they walk past me, who is clad head to foot in Addidas I just want to remove them from the gene pool... without anesthetic... and with 2 bricks.

I agree with you about sideways/back to front baseball caps. Seriously tattooing "douche" onto your forehead would actually make me more inclined to approach you.

Finally, It's not really an item of clothing but excessive facial and body piercings. I'm not against piercings full stop and I don't mind seeing them on either gender, but when you've got about 10 in each ear, or through your nose, or your lip (I don't actually mind tongue piercings surprisingly) it just doesn't make you look like an approachable person. I know you should never judge a book by it's cover but even the people who say that would be out of by a book with a cover made of raw human skin with the title 'The big book of unpleasant things!' written in shit.

Sleeveless shirts always seemed douchey to me. Probably because everyone I know who wears them is a douche.

Also, piercings (other than earlobes on le females) and tattoos. /opinion

and the fact that when I dress up I automatically have to wear a belt even if my pants fit, and if I don't EVERYONE alerts me about it. It's a small thing, but it always happens.

In my eyes, baseball caps should be on your head straight and level, not off to one side, not precariously balanced on your head, and not backwards. (Unless you are welding and need the neck protection, I'm guilty on that count.)

Very big sunglasses, you just can't have a decent conversation with someone when you can't see their eyes.

Girls wearing their sunglasses on top of their hair (as in like a hat or headband). I refuse to chat up any girl who does that, no matter how cute she might be otherwise. Also fake tans or excessive real tans. Looking like a leather sofa isn't sexy.

On guys, hair that covers their ears; i.e. Bieber hair. That look has pissed me off for years, irrationally so. It literally causes me to feel rage when i see that.
