Fuck you Miltank, Fuck you.
YES!

As for me: politicians.

All in favor of having all politicians going through a contest to catch a bullet with their teeth say AYE!

Those who do are worthy enough to live.
Those who don't, well they're politicians, so no one cares.

- Opponents of nuclear power who keeps opposing it despite nuclear power being the cleanest form of energy we have [http://www.vattenfall.se/www/vf_se/vf_se/Gemeinsame_Inhalte/DOCUMENT/196015vatt/815691omxv/819778milj/821834milj/P0282332.pdf] next after hydro power.
And Nuclear power has gotten a lot safer recintly hasn't it? So places don't go all Chernobylie on us.
Well if you by "recently" mean "in the 1950's" then you are about right, yes.

Chernobyl happened because the politburo didn't want to admit that their "huge triumph" (i.e.no brainer) of running some water pipes through their plutonium breeders [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obninsk_Nuclear_Power_Plant] instead of just venting the heat was in fact a a Bloody Stupid Idea(tm). Ok, so the brits cocked it up first with the Windscale fire [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windscale_fire] but at least they took the hint. The Soviets didn't and instead continued to make Bloody Stupid Idea II - Bigger and Stupider [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RBMK], of which Chernobyl was one instance.

The rest of the world figured it out in the late 1950's and said: "let's not go there... it's a silly place" and instead went for inherently safe(r) lightwater reactors for power production while they left the plutonium production to the graphite moderated, gas-cooled purpose-built breeders.

So it pisses me off to no end when people drag up Chernobyl as an argument against nuclear power. It's about as stupid saying we must not burn wood because dynamite is explosive.

And if that didn't make sense to you... well, it's not supposed to! That is how stupid (the argument that we must not have nuclear power because of Chernobyl) really is.

Amazingly I followed most of that, so I'm happy=D
And the whole nuclear fussion would be, you know, handy. With the almost limitless power supply thing.

Why don't you go after it then?
On topic, not much. When you're mellow, nothing can get you down. Except finding out that the one family member that died after the, "accident," isn't quite as dead as you thought they were.

1. Computer doesn't work
2. Internet doesn't work
3. Being lied to

These are the first three things that come to my mind.

I pisses me off imensely people who rag about politicians.

First: some of my friends are politicians and they are some of the most intelligent, and well educated people I know.

Second: of all the politicians I have met and discussed with - one of which was Sweden's minister of justice (i.e. attorney general) - all been extremely respectful of the fact that people may have differing opinions, they listened to the arguments and maintained a dialogue, which is more than, oh, say, 99% of the unwashed masses of the public does.

Third: Do it better yourself! Anyone that would like to tell other people how to do their job should please get hurled out of a plane and land anus-first on the spire of Winchester Cathedral [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/24-Call-of-Duty-4]!

Politicians give a damn and try to do something. Now what about you?

The fact that there are NO jobs in this godforsaken land, thus I am perpetually broke.

The fact that I *should* be looking for summer courses and whatnot, but can't find any that seem worthwhile.

The upcoming UK election - the only good thing that'll come out of it are the satirists.

First your first and second points: I haven't met much politicians. The ones I have met were, well pretty annoying. They talked down to people, pretty much saw themselves as better than everyone, and all around were assholes. I know not all politicians are like this, and that there are some amazing ones out there. But I have yet to meet them. And until I do meet them and have a decent conversation with one, I must go with the only experience I've had so far.

As for your third point: Well, being an 18 year old who's working at a video store and can't afford college, there isn't much I can do. However, there is a local soup kitchen I volunteer at when I can.

Thats all I can do. Well that and ***** about stuff.

People who get sucked in to PETA's bullshit about how baby seals are clubbed in the seal hunt. No, they aren't. ADULT seals are, and their bodies are sold, and make up a large part of the economy of Newfoundland, which has a direct impact on the economy of Canada. I'm sorry, but my country's economy comes before your hippie bullshit.

Nothing sets me in a homicidal rage like Amy Diamond's What's In It For Me... I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT AAAAAAARGRGGHHH!!!

Other things that piss me off:
- computer constantly complaining about something that actually works (I think it has to do with the specific USB-port)
- Printer not working
- Inconsiderate pricks in the traffic
