Body counts for action games. I really hit me when I played Max Payne 2 - how many hundreds of guys does this detective gun through? That's not a police operation it's a one-man western front.

A lot of gaming doesn't make sense though. It's easier to just suspend belief.

Picture this: You're on a team of marines fighting against a vicious alien assassin squad. You're wearing blue armor. They're wearing red armor. The two groups hate each other for an unknown reason, but they found a way to settle the score: Capture The Flag. You have to go to the enemy base, pick up a useless flag and transport it ALL THE WAY BACK to your base. After you "Score" it(by cramming it into an already-occupied flagstand), it DISAPPEARS and magically goes back to their base. In a nutshell, you take something just to give it back later. Then, you do that 2 more times and the war is over.
Alright, this could be applied to any multiplayer-supporting video game.
what about AC:brother hood it's cannon to the story line and it has reasons for respawning you unlike other multiplayer-supporting games (COD) which give no reason for coming back to life.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas has a system where you eat and drink through your glorified wrist watch. I find that amazing and rather lazy, I kind of wish I had a Pip Boy.
Duh! It freezes time! Could you imagine living in a Vault! Stop. Start. Stop. Start. It would go on. and on. and on. and on.
and on.
and on...

Red Dead DLC: how the fuck am i rideing a hourse on fire and how come i am not getting hurt
just cause 2: to quote Yahtzee "the only way of surviving a fall to the ground is by falling to the ground faster"
dead rising: how do you make some of this stuff like a drill bucket you need a drill and a bucket but it has 3 drills in it same with the chainsaw and the paddle you make it with one but then there is two how
any shotter: how can you come back from being dead
mario galaxy: how can mario breath in space
God of War: how many times can you go to hell
dead rising (again): how many times can you get bitten without turning
mario: he eat mushrooms and it looks like a drug usage
minecraft: every thing is a cube

man it is times like this when you ask yourself there is so much stuff that doesn't make sense it would be more easy just to list the things that make sense in video games am i right.

also why do some people have hair that dosen't move even when wet

and most of the stuff that happens in just cause 2 but it's still fun any way

How can everyone run at about 75% of their top speed for an infinite amount of time, yet can only sprint at 100% for about 10 seconds.

Why can the protagonist do the most badass moves of all time, shoot, stab and punch everything everything in the room in a glorious dance of death during cutscenes. But is limited to the same few moves for every other situation?

Why does every NPC move at a slightly different pace (usually slower) than me? If I have to follow someone around a map, I shouldn't be outrunning them everytime they turn a corner.

Why are grenades never like the real thing? Grenades are a small amount of explosive covered with a jillion tiny metal pieces that if exploded in a room, would take out EVERYTHING. In video games they make magic little fireballs that knock people over (and sometimes kill them).

Why does Square Enix keep making these god-awful new Final Fantasies, when they could make just as much, if not more money by making the old ones look pretty?

All within 12-15 minutes!
At the same time soldiers are camping under staircases, ladders and behind doors and killing their brothers in arms for their equipment!

if you count the other games: Kabal's back story in the new mortal kombat.
This has nothing to do with your post, but I thought you should know that the techno song I'm listening to and the hip-thrusting in your avatar are completely in synch right now. It's actually kind of cool. Like he's dancing and playing sax to my song.
What's the song?
