This. Always and forever, this. Except it did make me cry, at least the first time I watched it, and it gets me pretty damn close every time. Of course, it's also the rebound from the inspiring speech the Prez makes before hand that gets me all pumped up. Then that shit happens and i feel guilty for being pumped earlier. Silly, right?Gxas said:I haven't found the thing that makes me cry, although the scene in Independence Day where the dad flies into the ship always gets me close. I even watched the movie twice in a row and almost cried both times at the same part.
Yeh, Hughes death in the manga is bad too. That's what I'm comparing the anime to, the manga. I just think the manga is so much better than the anime is, it frustrates me that they screwed up such a good series. I understand that an anime shouldn't be exactly the same as the manga (then you get annoying dipshits like myself that talk about what's going to happen next because we've read the manga), but you should retain a good story and character development.Gormourn said:I don't know, I actually LOVE the end of FMA. They could've messed it up so badly if both survived and went on their merry way.
It's probably my favorite anime series... Also, the death and funeral of Hughes or whatever the funny man's name was is definitely dramatic.
Stop spoiling it damnit!RagnorakTres said:Yeh, Hughes death in the manga is bad too. That's what I'm comparing the anime to, the manga. Also, Lust's death in the manga is just AWESOME! And Envy's is shaping up to be even more epic.
That recently happened to me with my dog. We were told she had a few days to live around Christmas. Then she lived for a couple more weeks. The last moments are the worst but you eventually stop crying. I'm actually in tears as I write this just remembering her. Make sure you have something to remind you of him (I have a candle that has "In Memory Alex" carved into it).Connor Lonske said:My cat is about to die.Hes 13 years old and is getting sicker by the day.I don't know how i'm going to deal with that. sad face
The darkness in the story is what I objected to. They made it too serious, if that makes any sense. It's a terrible situation, but the manner that Ed is best suited to is that of the hero who cracks jokes, even in the worst situations; I didn't like the "flawed, damaged" concept they tossed to the Elfen Lied fans. They could have done it better, and I think that's what pisses me off the most. I stopped watching around the time of the warehouse, so I suppose my view is skewed. *shrugs* I'll just stick with my manga.Gormourn said:Heh, I don't know... The way the "new" FMA: Brotherhood, which I believe is a remake that's supposed to follow the manga more closely, is shaping up, I don't think I like it that much.
They totally destroyed most of the dramatic and cool moments from the original FMA's first episode, in Lior. I think.
Meh, I hope it will work out well. So far, they mostly ruined the ambiance and darkness of the story but added overdone fight scenes.
that one nearly got me, it's awesome.Fronken said:I know this is like my third post but i just remembered a truely beautiful piece of film:
