No I mean the newest one with the flying ships and stuff. Most of the cast use generic British accents and the lead (the kid) has a very obvious and very out of place American accent. It's jarring as hell.
How is this different from most Musketeers movies?

How the concept of an "undead" or "zombie" does not exist at all in that film universe. For once I would love to see a zombie movie were most of the cast know they are dealing with zombies (aid for the head and shoot their bitten comrades without hesitation).
You would think that that wouldn't be too hard in the wake of the Scream movies' success.

It doesn't bug me so much as amuse me, but I love it in period movies.

"Verily, we art in the fourteentheth Century---eth. Lo, yon teeth are perfect and coated with some form of witchcraft...eth..."
Shouldn't the makeup/wardrobe people catch this and correct it? I've seen some really awful examples on TV, like drug addicts with teeth that probably cost over $5,000. Or when everything else in a scene is dirty and gritty, except for the smile that walked out of a toothpaste commercial.

Shaun of the Dead, dude. Sure it's a comedy, but they sure as hell know they're dealing with zombies even if they don't want to admit it.
Which only uses the word because it's parodying the exact thing he was complaining about.
Yeah but the thing was, the dude was complaining that the concept itself didn't exist in movies. If they used the word zombie to parody the thing he was complaining about, the concept would still have to have existed wouldn't it? (rhetorical question, just in case the tone wasn't quite there. I'm pretty bad at putting tone in text)

Unecessary romance plots.
Such as in:
Fight Club
The Lovely Bones
The Lord of the Rings
The Wind that Shakes the Barley
Batman Begins+The Dark Knight
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Pirates of the Carrabean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Avatar
Blade Runner
Forest Gump
Braveheart
Inside I'm Dancing
The Guard
and many, many more!
Well while I totally agree with The Lord Of the Rings I just had to point out that the "Unecessery romance plot" in James Camerons Avatar (I'll guess that is the one you're talking about) was the plot.

Hollywood in general; it used to be good, but then the gaming industry and the internet came along, and they slowly killed Western movies. Hollywood isn't expanding its horizons anymore, because they need the simpletons who still go to the theaters; the only way to do that is to make the same damn thing - riddled with cliches, and over-the-top with everything - again and again. Their audience is about the same as our industry's "Call of Duty" players.

The last good movie that came out was Inception; even before that, movies were pretty terrible though... Just look at Avatar! Ugh!

rom coms...EVERYTHING about them..the fact the arnt funny, to the downright stupid way they portray women..thank god for bridedmaids, which only goes "rom com" for less than a minute..the rest is just hilarious

female chrachters that are kind of there for the sake of romance or to be a shallow charachter (and hollywood double standards)...reason I love tarantino movies

and say what you want about Irobot..the two mains DONT hook up in the end!(but I have to take points off for having shia labouf in his worst more obnoxious role..albeit short)

ANYTHING with female as the main target audence

the "record riff"...PXAR I am dissapointed

lack of understanding of anything tech related (I imagine this is getting better)or if there is a nerd he will be the steryotype and like starwars because its identifiable to mainstream audiences

WORST one...men are fun loving guys who like to do fun things..women on the other hand are heartless killjoys who want to change the main and stop him from doing childish things (videogames)

yes, you could interperet it the other way..men are imature idiots, women are smart/sensible

In war movies when there's an obvious lack of Trigger Discipline.

For those who don't know what TD is, it's when the Operator of a firearm keeps their trigger finger outside of the trigger guard, so that they don't accidentally impulse fire the gun itself. The safety being on or off, is up to the Operator themselves.

Forrest Gump and Full Metal Jacket were offenders of this.

Movies like Black Hawk Down averted this because they went through the effort of training TD to the Actors along with actual military personnel being part of the cast.

World's smartest person, everybody.

It still exists. That's the point. Even if it is only in parody, it still exists. If they made a joke about zombies, they must know what zombies are.

Religious characters always being small minded "burn the witch" fundamentalists. Would it kill writers to have their religious types read their bibles instead of beat them?

Cliche' Love Interests, so many movie's seem to feel the need to add a love story to the plot that just feels like an unnecessary attachment. Other things to mention:

Annoying Sidekicks

Obvious Pandering Fanservice (I'm looking at you Twilight)

Protagonists that don't act right (Always do things that don't seem the most realistic)

Awkward Jokes (The first Michael Bay Transformers Movie is a good example, having the stupid masturbation joke)

Movies released in 3D (Seriously...Let this pointless gimmick die out already! )

When you can't root for the main characters because the movie doesn't do a good job making you care about them. Sometimes to the extent when you root for the villian.

And blatant oscar bait, that grinds my gears too.

I was just using that particular one as an example since the movie trailers are still fresh.

Another thing that annoys me is pacing. Immortals is a good bad example.
Good premise, beautiful fight scenes and effects but it goes 1st gear all the way through act 2 instead of getting quicker and going into full race mode for act 3. I swear if you cut out act 2 you won't miss anything, then you can have more screen time for the Titans and have a stupidly epic final battle as opposed to the anticlimactic meh we got.

Not so much movies, but I'm tired of Action movies and trailers ending on that one scene. You know what I'm talking about. The punch scene.

The big bad monster claws/punches at the screen, the big bad hero punches at the screen... what is this supposed to signify? The movie wants to punch me? I should run to the theater because the movie has the express desire to lodge its curled digits into my face?

Movies (generally horror or thriller or some such) that kill off helpless innocents. I don't mean like Freddy or Jason killing college students; or even aliens invading and killing random people. Fuck those guys/kids/girls - they're usually pricks anyway.

I mean the genuinely innocent and helpless; the elderly cripple in a wheel chair who is confronted by the psycho killer. And there's absolutely nothing that can be done - and it ends predictably; the killer ends them. It's terrible for me; I just have difficulty watching that kind of thing. Maybe it just means I'm slightly more normal than I give myself credit. I mean - I can play through games like that RETARDED airport level in Modern Warfare 2 with no problem; but cut an old man's throat in a horror movie? I get depressed.

ALSO: Torture-porn or gore-fests for the sake of gore-fests. FUCK YOU SAW SERIES. You worthless, pathetic, pile of garbage.
