Unexpectedly having to drive 800 kilometres at night. NOT fun.
Why?

For teh lulz?
Certainly not. :p
I was supposed to sleep at a friend's before driving back home (which is, as weird as it sounds, a distance of roughly 800km), but at around 6pm he calls me and says that unexpected problems have arisen which prevent me from crashing on his couch. Since all hostels and hotels were already overbooked and all my other pals were on vacation somewhere that meant starting my big journey around 7pm and arriving sometime around 3am. -.-

Reading a collection of stories for Arabic class. It's not the fact that we have to read them, it's just that they're such sad and depressing stories.

One especially sad one was about how a guy and a girl from this village in Lebanon decided to marry, and it was all a very happy affair until the husband requested a child. They tried to conceive but the wife wouldn't get pregnant, and so her in-laws took her to several doctors who couldn't find anything wrong with her. So her husband starts drinking and smoking and feeling suicidal, while the in-laws totally treat her like shit and her own family won't even defend her because she's apparently sterile.

Lo and behold, after a short while, the wife is suddenly pregnant. As a result, her husband stops drinking and smoking and generally being a sorry douche, while the in-laws start treating her nicely and with respect. After the wife is five months along, she gives her husband a letter and tells him to open it the next day, when they are supposed to meet at their special tree or whatever. The husband, thinking it was some sort of surprise, agrees to this and sets off the next day to meet his wife at the special tree.

He finds her there dead, having drunk some sort of poison. She was wearing her wedding dress. The husband is in shock and opens the letter, hoping to find some sort of explanation. The wife explains in the letter that she loves him very much, even after he treated her like shit for something that was totally not her fault. She writes that after months of despairing over her husband's behavior, she slept with one of their neighbors and conceived a child, revealing that her husband was actually sterile and not her. She was thrilled that her husband started treating her normally again now that she was pregnant, but the sense of betrayal and hurt she felt was too great, so she killed herself.

Damn, just typing that bummed me out.

Today? absolutely nothing bad has happened to me. I went to a football match and all the results have gone my way today, I ate one of the best burgers I have had in a long time afterwards and now I'm quite drunk.

Walking into the school library to see that they've replaced the cool Sandman poster with a Twilight poster. Come to think of it, that's what they did with most of the cool posters...

It's a Swedish book, isn't available in English. Sorry.

The book is about a normal guy who meets a beautiful girl at the bus, and falls in love with her. They grow closer, then they slept together. Then he went for a trip, and when he came back, he found out that she had been together with someone else, and never wanted to be together with him. He then slowly falls into depression. By the end, she tells him she will call him, that she wants to help him. He waits and waits, hoping she will call, but then kills himself, just when the phone starts to ring.

Doesn't seem like the strongest story, but it's told in a genius way and really broke my heart, cause I grew such a connection with the main character, cause he reminded me of myself.
I like that ending (what?)

I'm gonna go with coming home to find out the dog got ran over.oh and since my family always has a huge amount of cats which we all grow attached to (my grandmother was basically the cat-lady of florida,I lived with her of course) does not help things when they die.not on the same day of course.

EDIT: I forgot about the day 5 or 6 kittens all died and I had to pick up their corpses, only the last one didn't have rigor mortis, this of course was spread throughout the day.will that do?

Wake up, go to soccer in the morning. Put the combination in and try to open my locker. Fail.

That usually means it's gonna be a bad day.

Have you ever had a really good day, only to have it ruined by something sad and depressing? I just finished a great book today, one of those teenage love books (I'm serious, it was good), thought it would have a happy ending, and then the author drops a bomb and gives one of the saddest endings ever. Still stuck in my head. Not often I get so sucked into a book.
I'm curious. What was the ending?

One of my friends wanted to borrow my ps2 memory card to play resi 4 because it wouldn't save on his for some reason. I agree telling him I want it back in a week at the most. Next day he fucks off to england. That was 2 months ago and he's still not back. I have a pile of 4 ps2 games stacked up ready to play as soon as he gets back but he's been delaying more than valve with the half-life series.
