The sound of water, especially when I'm not actually getting wet often does the trick. Rain, water near docks, bath running, shower etc (obviously the latter two aren't of the "not getting wet" variety).

Iroh's voice from the Last Air Bender. Doesn't even matter what he's talking about, that tone has some sort of feel-good vibe that's very relaxing.

The greatest though? Towel forts. I love, love, love towel forts. Combine that with the sound of running water and I'm happy as a clam...whose shell is made of towels.

Listening to classical music, but that's not too odd. I've been listening to lots of Gustav Mahler and David Maslanka. Mahler's 2nd and 3rd symphonies, Maslanka's 4th in particular.

For some bizarre reason I found listening to certain types of j-pop relaxes me. I have no idea why but it just does. If I listen to it while working on math problems I find it keeps me calmer (and my profanity usage decreases significantly). This one has been very useful while studying physical chemistry.

In truth maybe it's just the background nice that's relaxing.
