TV shows like "Doctor Who" should all be shut down. Right now there are demands for all of these things, which is kind of the point. I think that if they were discontinued for a decade or so, and then brought back, it would seriously strengthen the franchises, all of which are involved in decay... very slow decay, but present none the less. The whole "leave them wanting more" strategy is something that I think media industries should embrace a bit more often.
Before it's 2005 reboot, Doctor Who hadn't been on air since 1989. So what are you talking about, basically?

Ninjas, Samurais, Zombies...popular anime trends...

It's all well and good, until three-fourths of the world's youth are gabbing on about it every minute of every day. Show some creativity and realize there are more creative and infinitely more worthy subjects out there.

...oh, and I guess Final Fantasy. Modern Warfare 2, also. And digital pirating. And global conquest.

Nuclear weapons I suppose...and nuclear power too, after all, there are many more environmentally friendly means of producing energy that don't involve harvesting potentially destructive elements.

War was great at one time, puts a 'boom' in the economy (and the losing side's army often goes 'boom' too), but now a-days it's not that fun anymore. Wasn't very appreciated during the time of the Greeks, became real popular some two hundred years ago, but now it's getting expensive again, both in terms of wallet-contents and the contents of soldiers' and civilians' internal organs.

Hatred is getting right annoying too. Come on, someone's gay, doesn't mean homophobic guys have to start wearing a chastity belt and run away every time they see something that even remotely resembles a penis. And religion? Just because someone worships a deity in a way not akin to the way you do doesn't mean you should take their holy book and burn it for the sake of appealing to the tumorous growth living in your brain causing you to do things that are completely irrational and no doubt the cause of poor breeding.

What was I talking about again? Oh, yeah, ninjas and stuff. They're just so...unchanged. Whenever I see a ninja in any kind of form, it's like, "oh boy, I've seen that a billion times already." Same with zombies and stuff. Making a ninja from the future, or a ninja who has magical powers, even that isn't a grandly creative element, because there are millions of ninjas from the future with magical powers as well! Maybe if you had a story about a rabbit that was genetically twisted into a grotesque human form, and sent to be disposed of, but was somehow let loose and managed to find shelter in a blind hermit's cave, and learned the arts of not being detected, before venturing out and discovering a sword--that's another thing that's over rated, Katanas; look at Falchions, or Sabers, or something, but enough with Katanas--, and learned how to...

Nevermind. Cliff hanger post, I'm bored with this.

why is it cool to hate Call of Duty now? Sure it has its problems, a lot of problems, but its fun to play and IMO it has a pretty good story.
Good story? The story is utter drivel, which consists of rehashes of other bland action films. The rare nuggets of decent plot are all ripp offs. It's always nazis this, russians that.

COD MUST BE ENDED

*EDIT* It is so easy to miss quote these days

My Little Pony. I've not watched it in over twenty years so its popularity now seems new, scary and alienating. Well that and it just strikes me as slightly trite.
It's because they're all watching the new show by Lauren Faust, not the old one.

First thought: Halo. After ODST I figured Reach probably wouldn't impress me, and imagine that... it didn't. I also agree with Sonic and Pokemon, and to a point Call of Duty, even though the odds of Activision shutting down that cash cow's utters are lower than a new Sonic game being good.

A little outside the box: "next-gen" graphics. Brown =/= realistic. I'm not saying make everything colorful to the point of burning players eyes out of their heads, mind, just a bit more vibrancy.

Family Guy. The first three seasons were the best and no one can convince me otherwise.

A thousand thousand to the thousanth power times this. There is NOTHING funny about this show anymore. Every character and joke is old and overused.

I'm jumping on the Sonic train. It's over now. Deal with it.

Now, I haven't watched Naruto in a long time, but the reason I stopped was that it got pretty boring about 100 episodes in. It's enough now. Seriously.
So agree on Naruto. I stopped watching during the exams arc. Last thing I remember was 5 episodes of all the characters standing in a hallway and talking while NOT A DAMN THING HAPPENS. Seriously, it's DBZ all over.

Also, as has been said before: Star Wars. I loved the original trilogy, but I just can't be bothered to care anymore. Haven't seen any of the new movies or played any of the new games in years. If anything, Star Wars is now like a guarantee of shitness.

... that the current series has gone on like six seasons plus spin offs.

Also I don't think Doctor Who ever really ended, I seem to remember it had some kind of notation for being noteworthy as one of the longest TV series of all time, and also longest time in syndication.

The point being that they are already beating it to death, especially given the previous runs.

stabs call of Duty and runs away

Dynasty Warriors, unless they are willing to make a better mechanic... Or a different game. They be remakes one after another, they don't really try anything new... They just added "Jin" to the new one

Bleach, the manga whent through what was unmistakeably an ending (a reasonably decent ending mind), only to stumble on into another plot arc... Wut?

Also Portal, cuz i don't see how Valve could pull off another one without fucking things up...

Unless they whent for the "Non Canon DLC" route ala RDR's Zombie DLC

Ahhh... I didn't realise there was a new version. Perhaps I will give it a go I may well be missing out on something.

Pokemon?

There's only so many times they can redo that story before it gets stale, which was after the first season... Well, second wasn't too bad, but at this point it's just ridiculous.
This.

I must ask how? I think they pretty much tied up the story in KH2 and if you think KH3 would be a great way of reintroducing Malificent as a Villain again as she somehow came back in KH2 then no just no. Plus it seems like Square Enix is only good for releasing prequel upon prequel of unrelated bullocks in KH at the moment, Okay the thing for Roxas was okay but Whut the F is Birth by Sleep about and why was it made? Oh and I mustn't forget to mention rereleases.

Nintendo.

They had their turn. I'm curious as to what the company will move onto next. They refuse to just let the damn thing go bankrupt even when business is down, so after video games, maybe they'll go into cosmetics? Either way, they need to just stop.
