This. Also, the music that plays when the relays explode and kill everyone was wonderful >_>

but then people would have complained about lack of closure. "oh what happened? i want to know" shepard wouldnt have done what he came to do, and the game would only have one ending: were all boned.

People complained about lack of closure anyways. At least this way, there's no god-awful catalyst to completely shit over the plot. And if the Crucible fired off without Hackett miraculously knowing that Shepard was the one that made it inside, we would have gotten the ending that was foreshadowed throughout the entire game, the Crucible fires, the Reapers die, and Shepard dies the hero of the galaxy. It would have been shit tons better than the excrement we got.

Well, in absence of any other evidence, I suppose I like that I probably lived.

Even if I did probably get everybody around me goddamn killed.

I actually thought it was decent until the Catalyst showed up.

The scene between Anderson, Shepard and The Illusive Man was actually good, in my opinion. I also liked the quiet moments afterwards.

Then the elevator shows up and the Catalysts shows us his true power by shitting on the entire galaxy.

Oh, and Marauder Shields was a pretty cool guy.

As every one else had said, everything was great until the last five - ten minutes. The charge was great, Shepard getting back up, getting to the beam, the talk with Anderson and The Illusive Man... And then the space elevator turned on, and I cocked an eyebrow, and said, out loud in my room, "Oh, HERE comes the bullshit."

My favorite thing about the ending was the music, in addition to all the things before the Space Elevator.

Pretty much this, that would have made an awesome ending. Shepard sitting there watching the weapon fire. Receiving a different ending depending on your rating.

But as it stands now my best part was when it ended.

I haven't played ME3 yet, partly because I can't download two gigs of bridging DLC, but from what I've heard the ending consists of you destroying the Reaper threat but seeing everyone die in a colorful explosion.
If I'm right about that, which I'm probably not, then at least you saved the next spacefaring species from Reaper-based extinction.

As many people have noted the nusic was really good .

I have nothing against the 3 choices but i didn't really understand what each of them meant. what was going to be the consequence of my choice, and which choice to choose depending on my shepard's personality. Since i'm going to change the face of the Galaxy forever i would like more than a short sentence explaining me what i'm doing. Was just confused as to what do the choice mean.

The choice between Geth and Quarian was clear at least although stupid (coulndt stop the war because legion dead).

Also i though that the impact of the war assets was somewhat illogical ,i don't understand why having less ships impacts the godchild's spacemagic.

Overall I actually liked the endings. I liked the music. I liked the atmosphere of melancholy, if not outright tragedy, that it had (largely due the music I think). It wasn't a happy ending, but when you've seen as many Chinese martial arts epics as I have you kind of get used to sad endings. Although the final cutscenes were almost identical, I thought they still posed quite different moral and ethical questions to ponder over - I was still pondering whether or not I'd made the right choice a week after finishing the game. (Okay, I could just have easily gone back and replayed the final scene, but that would have broken the immersion for me).

My only real gripe with the endings is the fact that I would really liked to have found out what happened to the rest of my crew.
