Things which people insult you for liking/enjoying

I was just listening to one of my current favourite bands, Converge, and it got me thinking about how a lot of my friends give me shit for liking certain things. For example I have a friend who barely likes music of any description and insults me for liking bands like Gallows and Cancer Bats, stating that they are "just noise". And I get that statement a lot from other friends, that the music I love, which is full to the brim with instrumental and vocal talent, is "just noise"

So, fellow Escapists, is there any music, film, video game, anything at all, which you love but get insulted for liking
This doesn't cover being embarrassed by liking something, or guilty pleasures and so on
This is about when people just can't wrap their heads around why you like this thing so much

Mine would have to be my favorite disney movie 'hunchback of notre dame'. I seem to get a lot of reactions that go to 'Really?' or 'you like that?' to 'THAT'S your favorite disney movie? Not beauty and the beast or something GOOD?'

I dunno why so many people seem to berate me for loving this movie. Whenever I try to explain stuff like it has one of the best animation I've seen, a great musical score, and is one of the darkest movies disney has ever made; I usually get a 'yeah whatever'. I suppose it's because the movie is based on a novel that wasn't meant for kids (and I did read it and liked it) but I still don't get why I seem to be the only one around who enjoys it.

I also like Phil Collins' music and he seems to have gotten a lot of hate for awhile now.

Yup, I've been disliked for swimming and pokemon too, I dont understand the swimming one, But i understand the pokemon one because people think its cool to hate on it.

Life on Mars and 2001: A Space Odyssey are both masterpieces.
