Modern Warfare 2, especially from my mates who are usually shocked when i say to them that i play TF2 and Garry's Mod instead of that.

oh, and people who say they hate a game that they have never played. god that just pisses me off, once i was with my mates when i mentioned i played Batman: Arkham Asylum and they were saying that it was shit with no reasons as to why, then when i asked them if they played it, they all said no.

"Everyone in America is an illegal immigrant".

NO! We have a government in place, a system intact (here and there, the gray areas don't matter on this one), and the whole argument about how the Natives had their land stolen is rubbish. It was won by hardship, blood, iron, and warfare. Many of the tribes murdered and committed atrocities too, so to automatically assume that others should be allowed to come here and bypass the system is an insult to the past dead and those who were born here. I have no moral obligation to care either, just because others in some country that willingly steals from American soil cannot make it over here legally. The system isn't broken, the morality in human beings is.

And I am one sixteenth Tsalagi Native American. I am also a blood descendant of Senator Henry Clay. Stop using my past and my dead ancestors to steal from those who ARE born here and whose parents ARE citizens.

"All religion is evil".

Some people never put the mindset into an open minded perspective that anything above the knowledge of physics and science can be real regardless of the reason.

"All people in [insert political party here] are idiots."

There have been good presidents and bad presidents from both side over the history of this country. For every Richard Nixon there's a Jimmy Carter.

"People were primitive in the past."

Correction, they were not primitive, just not in your eyes and mind as to what qualifies as advanced. Just because something came from the past (religion, morals, fables, etc) does not automatically qualify them as ignorant.

"If you don't accept [insert something against the norm and not widely accepted by society] then you're automatically a man of hatred, intolerance, bigotry, evil, and you deserve to be killed for the advancement of mankind."

Har har...the hypocrisy.

"Heavy Metal is for idiots."

You just don't enjoy it...I can say the same thing about Radiohead, Placebo, Muse, Mars Volta, etc and it would hold as much weight as your argument.

Did you hear what he wanted to do about the gulf? I honestly cannot tell if he's serious or not.

OT: I just realized after reading it in another post that the phrase, "put two and two together" doesn't make any sense, which is odd, because I hear that all the time.
What did he want to do with the gulf if i may ask(and stop it at reply post don't carry discussion any more)

The word "Emo" to describe any one with emotional problems, whether it be anything from a serious mental disorder to a slight downer.

"My mum died today.."
"Oh, you're so Emo"

How about shut the fuck up.
Thank you! I hate being called an emo if i'm feeling slightly down. And people seem to think it's funny...It it not!

Oh, that reminds me: incoherent, question-begging rants that pretend to present simple answers to extremely complicated questions. Could do without those generally. Also, claims that:

I am one sixteenth [this or that]
... as though this is supposed to lend added weight or credibility to the ranting. (It doesn't.)
I am a Native American. I could be recognized as one at any point. It carries quite a bit of weight I must say. Anything else is twisting the fact in your favor using a lesser argument.

Today, nay, in the last hour I have heard two sentences that make me want to punch someone in the tongue. My main quarrel with these is that they are old jokes that people swear they came up with or actually said before telling me about it. The sentences are as follows:

1. I always pick a female game character, because if I have to stare at someones ass for x hours it may as well be a girls. (Yeah or you could just y'know not be a perv)

2. I was speeding down a country road when a police officer pulled me over. He said
"I've been waiting for you all day" so I replied
"I got here as fast as I could" He let me off with a warning (NO!!! HE DIDN'T!!! That never happened stop lying, Steve.)

Any phrases like these that infuriate you, The fine escapist community
I'm sick of hearing that people who aren't gay are "pervs".

I'm tired of people around my generational age range acting like their humor and bantor is so clever when they get a majority of their material from Family Guy (the most unfunny show to hit television).

Half of these idiots don't know anything about the 70-80s and yet make pop culture references they got off Family Guy/American Dad as if they "get it".

And this also goes for my gamer friends who get most of their material off of the Escapist -_-

When I tell people jokes or skits that I found hilarious, I always direct them to the youtube video or television program...I never bring it up indepdently in the conversation just to make me sound witty or humorous.

"You do survive these things. I'm not advocating don't care about it hitting the shore or coast and whatever you can do to keep it out of there is fine and dandy, but the ocean will take care of this on its own if it was left alone and was left out there," Limbaugh said. "It's natural. It's as natural as the ocean water is."

^this is what he acually said, someone really needs to sit him down and have a long talk with him about how the world works because he obviously has no idea.

When a cashier scans something, it doesn't ring up, and the customer WITHOUT fail, spouts off "Well, I guess that means it's free!"
That's never been nor ever will be funny.

I'm sick of Portal jokes. I found them mildly amusing at first but they soon went stale from overuse.

I'm sick of hearing people insist that "clip" and "magazine" mean the same thing, that the meanings have "evolved" because enough people confuse them. The two have clear functional differences, I don't give a damn if a billion people say "tire" when they mean "wheel", that doesn't make them the same thing.

Oh, and one thing comes to mind that pisses me off far more than any word or phrase could, and it's a type of person I run into all too often on the 'net - know-it-alls who don't know jack shit about the subject in question but pretend they do out of sheer arrogance, and just hurl abuse at you if you prove them wrong. I usually just avoid such people but unfortunately that's not always an option.
