It's mostly self-inflicted, unfortunately. When the Republicans choose not to be the party of war, fundamentalism, race-baiting and anti-science, they'll probably eventually be able to shed that image.

Really, people have been saying 'O Rly' since 2004, I've heard it nearly every day. It has gone from sort of funny, to not funny, to oh god please stop.

Marxism is true communism right? In that case good for you because true communism is the most equal form of government I can think of. I hate people who are afraid of communist because they dont realize that communism is quite frankly an amazing form of democracy.
