Won't you feel silly when they discover it. Besides, everyone knows that bigfoot is actually just what aliens look like when they go through a change on their spaceship so that they can survive on Earth. Cookie to the person who figures out what this is from.

No offense, but thats physically impossible.
Not true. Indigo Dingo, I suggest you go sit inside a refridgerator for a short while and then come back and tell us it's physically impossible to lose more energy than you receive.

Re: the Thunderbolt II (aka Warthog). The A-10 is the world's first and only true ground-support fixed-wing aircraft. The friendly-fire incidents in most recent time were pilot error, not the fault of the plane but the damn pilot who bombed the wrong side. Friendly casualties are to be expected with a vessel like the A-10, but in much less quantity than traditional bombing would cause. The Thunderbolt can loiter on the battlefield low to the ground, traveling at sub-mach speeds. Any non-VTOL jet traveling that slow would crash, but the A-10 can just glide about searching for targets. Its primary asset is that it was designed to target infantry, light vehicles, and tanks; most nations require helicopters for this role but the A-10 exceeds helicopter capabilities.
With the most recent incident, didn't they strafe a convoy of UK trucks? Some mix-up in enemies being reported in the area, but not informing the pilots about the friendlies? Or was that just the pilots story, and other news has come out since then that says otherwise?

I was. Sad thing is that a whole slew of people believe it. I'm with you on the whole "crazies" idea about the leaders of Washington.

both washington and washington state, ther is way to many points nd to much evidence agaisnt said crazy people, and I will recount the story of a washington state woman, a true story (and yes she does live in a trailer)

"I was cleaning the dishes and I heard a knock on the door, I opened it and it was bigfoot, he asked me for onions and said that they used them to repel the evil spirits. this wasn't the only time it had visited and sometimes it came wiht its family; they speak both english and their own language"

...dear lord we're doomed. america is the pinnacle of reverse dawrinism and this is proof
and I don't even think the onion is native to washington state

Fact: There is a man alive who has survived being a Kamikaze pilot. Twice.
Proof: I know his grandson very well. The story is most amusing, actually.

Fact: If you take one and a half grams of mercury and drop it in a twenty-two acre lake, the mercury levels of the fish in the lake (once diffusion kicks in) will be over the acceptable limit for human consumption!

Fact: Mentioning that glass is either a liquid or a solid on this thread will result in a minimum of two pages of controversy to follow.

Fact: The Saint George of dragon-killing myth/legend (Different, possibly, to the real St. George) survived the dragon's fiery breath by hiding under a magical orange tree. He also used his dagger to kill the dragon, after his sword and lance had broken.
Massive retardedness aside, the man's got guts.

Fact: Brigid/Brigit/Brighid was not originally a Christian girl nominated to sainthood.

NO! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!
If anyone else quotes this, I will not like it. No one wants to be the driving force behind someone who Rick Rolls people.

John Williams has the World Record for Grammy Nominations, for his sheer number of (ecstatically exquisite) musical scores for movies. Even as I type this, I'm listening to 'Somewhere In My Memory' from 'Home Alone'.

Thank you for pointing this out. Whenever I see the words "glass" and "liquid/solid" I don't come back to that thread for two or three pages.

Unfortunately, others don't seem to see that. It's more like "whoo-hoo, an argument! Let's be retarded and yell stupid stuff!"

Fact: horseback scale-mail is often depicted badly in movies. on horseback, the scales generally pointed upwards so that pike thrusts from the legions of infantry they were ploughing through wouldn't slip inbetween the scales and skewer them.

Taken from a teacher of mine who works with medieval stuff.

Andrew Jackson is the only president to bring America out of debt.

Andrew Jackson threatened to personally go to South Carolina and kill everyone there.

Andrew Jackson ran the first dirty campaign. (He accused John Quincy Adams of being a Pimp)
Not only that, but when an assassination was attempted on him, he turned around and beat the guy with his cane. When they came to arrest the assassin, they had to hold the president back so he wouldn't kill him.

George Washington killed British people in there sleep on Christmas.
Actually, that one isn't true. If I'm thinking of what your talking about, German soldiers for hire working for the British were partying all night on Christmas, and George thought that time would be good to strike. You know, while they were all drunk and sleepy.
I forget what the siege was called though...

actually some interesting facts on the warthog A-10 thunderbolt...

the plane can fly with half a wing and one engine left
in order to shoot the vulcan cannon on its front the plane actually has to go into a dive or else the force of the gun will push the jet BACKWARDS.

Fact: Electricity travels from Negative to Positive. Early year science class teaches the wrong way and you have to take high-school level science to find out they lied.
Electrons flow from negative to positive; technically the 'holes' (the gaps the electrons leave in a metal) can be seen to flow the other way... (see 'Band Theory')... they bear many similarities to 'positrons'...

And the reason everything is backwards is because Maxwell thought that the decision was completely arbitrary (before we knew what electrons were)...

The explanation I got in Yr 11 physics is that because it was believed that it was the proton that moved for so long it is just by convention that it is still refered to that way in the electrical industry. But we all know now that it is the eletron tht maves.
