That they were all so f**cking easy, in Fable there were quests I'd dread doing, I'd barely survive with 9 lives and the best armour, the other month I did it with 3 health potions and didn't lose a single life.

Remember those "Point of Advice" - blocks from Super Mario World? The ones that look like a purple and orange loudspeaker, and spout some helpful message when you jump at them from below?

Well, I got that game when it was new and played it almost constantly until the PS2 came out, and I only recently noticed that those blocks were supposed to represent a loudspeaker. For countless years, I thought they were just purple boxes with a picture of a pineapple on the side.
Wait...IT WASN'T A PINEAPPLE?!?!?!??!!! 0_o

I could have sworn.....

And yeah, I miss the total nonsensical structure of old games sometimes.... :(

There are no children in Rollercoaster Tycoon, and yet you hear them laughing.

Kinda creepy.
Hey yea.

And how when you kill people by making a dangerous ride, the only repercussion is that your ride is closed.
You can drown them too.

Not that I ever did that to those annoying lost guests or anything.
*ahem*
and pop their balloons (tame in comparison to drowning them and building the worlds most dangerous roller coasters)

You mean I was NOT the only one who thought Mario was getting advice from pineapple blocks? Wow.

So, did YOU think it was weird at all?

Maybe the first time I hit it. But then, I concluded that since it was a tropical island, it should naturally have tropical themed tourist information blocks!

I was maybe 8 at the time, tops. And I was playing at a friend's house...Or maybe at a store at the mall.... I forget.

Miles Prower (A.K.A. "Tails" from the Sonic games) = "Miles Per Hour"
EDIT: Also, I always thought that HP and MP stood for Healt Points and Magic Points, respectively. It still makes more sense to me than Hit Points and Mana Points.

I never realized Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit had dynamic music, depending on how quick you were going, and where you were in the track. Was really cool when I played it again and discovered this.

I used to watch my cousins play grand theft auto. I just...didn't understand any of it. Good thing, too; my mom would certainly have killed me if i'd picked up on anything from those games.

In Castlevania, Alucard is Dracula backwards... ok, so that's the worst game "twist" ever.
I always prefer to call him "Teerts Emases Morf Tnuoc Eht" myself.
