Ridiculous and stupid things in games?
And the first thing that comes to mind are JRPG's?
Ahem...
EVERYTHING Nintendo has ever done, this is probably also why Nintendo is most laughed at in webcomics about games.
"Eat shrooms, become bigger",
"Princes kidnapped by monster, go karting with the kidnapper",
"Break pots with sword in stranger's homes, recieve items",
"Cannibalize and wear their skin, you're not Hannibal Lector, you're Kirby"
"Eggs come out your mouth, food goes where?"
"Punch blocks, receive coins"
"Woodland creatures can use 'flamethrower', you're 12 years old, enslave them with balls"
etc.
And modern day shooters.
"Take a breather, bullet to the gut all better now"
"I'm dead, but I can still drop a grenade"
"two-man army, stop entire war"
Or beat 'em ups.
Well, just the concept of epic things going about and just sorting them out through means of one-on-one battles by random persons.
(By the way, while I can understand the whole point of bashing the ATB-system and the Phoenix down - although one could say there's a difference between being dead and being knocked out - you're statement of the 'impobable armor' is flawed. in JRPGs a watch can protect you if it's embedded wit magic, you might as well call hax on every fantasy game ever made, be it JRPG or no.)
