I realized that I'm sort of a racist against people who are from the USA :/ didn't say it was a good thing. Although I am trying to change that but change is difficult
I'm Canadian, and I keep calling the United-States-ians stupid, and I was trying to stop for a while.
Then I watched South Park, and lost all sympathy. Entertainment Tonight didn't help.
Well I know they are way more racist than me and that they have earned the hate but the problem is I keep generalizing my opinion about them instead of evaluating each person individually, which means I just judge them for where they come from not who they thus making me a racist to some degree :/

Don't beat yourself up about it. Most of us think we're assholes too.

But I hate racism and I have always been against so now that it turns out that I kind of am one that makes me both a hypocrite and the kind of person that I hated in the first place so it's more important to me in that way than the act of racism, also I kind of liked it when everybody told me that I was the only person they knew who was not a hypocrite and now that is not true.

I realized that some people view all U.S. citizens as being stupid despite either admittedly (King Toasty) or most likely (Kaleion) basing their opinions on what they see on television, which is not even remotely fucking accurate. Allow me to insert this emoticon in place of my great big smug United States Grin :D

The Pythagorean Theorem, a year had gone by since I took the class it was introduced to me in, and I had failed to grasp it. When out of the blue it hit me, I understood it perfectly. Weird eh?

Americans are a race now? When did this happen?

*Insert the awesome youtube video I always post when racism comes up of Edward James Olmos explaining how there is only one race, the human race here*

I recently realized that I'm only twenty but I already don't get teenagers anymore and think they're all little punks (no offense to teenagers here). I mean, I didn't even get them that well when I WAS one, but it's still interesting to look back and realize what an asshole you were in your teenage years.

My Phiysics teacher told me that if someone leaves the room, we can't be sure they actually exist, and they may only be real when we pay attention to them. He then proceeded to laugh maniacally.
Also, I realised that every time you say something to someone, it could be the last thing they ever hear. A tad depressing, but still true.

I realised the other day what 'Pearl Jam' actually meant. I'd always just taken it as the band name and not thought too much about it. Then it...hit me...

Wait! Not like that! =P

I just realized that Kevin Bacon is the reason why I have the job I have now.

True Story: The current employer I have started their company in my small mountain town. The year they started this place, it rained nearly everyday of the summer. This almost closed down the workplace I work at. However, a particularly motion picture was being filmed roughly miles away from this place. The movie? River Wild. My boss got to meet most of the cast (He mentioned David Straithairn and Kevin Bacon, but Bacon wouldn't talk to him, but not in a "Prick" kind of way, but in a "I'm walking over here and you see me from a distance kind of way".

Long story short, I have a job because of Kevin Bacon. I can now intertwine myself in the Six Degress of Kevin Bacon game.

Well, technically, anyway, I'm in the game.

Well I do more specifically mean white people that happen to be from the USA, so I guess I sort of said it wrong.

Huh... I actually started acting that way because of the interactions I had with them when I visited they're country and also because it's kind of the way I was raised since most people in my family seem to hate them, thus not making it an stupid assumption based on TV and more of one made from bad experiences with racism against myself from them and the opinion of the people the raised me had about them.

I remember that little epiphany. Realizing that, as a teenager, you deserved to have your tongue torn out certainly makes to appreciate the absolute kettles of shit your parents had to put up with, eh?

Strange cause I never usually notice subtle things like that.

Its only in movies and games. Its not fun being drunk IRL. And you don't get "Epic Skillz" From it.
I get epic skills. Or at least I think I do.

Actually no. I get super generous. I gave away 10 Xbox games, a bottle a good bourbon, and a case of Red Stripe (Hoo-ray Beer!) the last time I was drunk.

My mind has been blown.

OT: Just this last time seeing Iron Man (Third time), I never noticed that the antagonist was Jeff Bridges. I always though he looked familiar, but the shaved head threw me off.

Well, I'm sorry that your basis of U.S. citizens was crafted on a foundation of assholes. In general, we're actually quite decent people, it's just our politicians and Hollywood executives that are walking douches.

I remember when I first realized what "life" meant. It was actually a few months ago. I'd just finished up with college, was sitting at home, and realized "Holy crap...I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now." My whole life, I'd had a goal. Go to school, get good grades, do what my parents told me, etc. But just like that, it was all behind me and I was left with this giant gaping hole that was my future.

Scary stuff. I got no sleep that night.

Listen to this mate:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbud8rLejLM

I realized how true it was. Most of the world has this stereotype that americans are fat assholes that while mostly true who expect everyone everywhere to speak english, is not always so.

Most Americans think canadians speak like this, eh? And are generally nice people who can take our jokes aboot them.

MexicansAll hispanics are mexican, unless their peurto-rican, in which case they should stop telling us how great new york is.

All Mexicans are illegal and trying to steal our jobs. This combined with the previous stereotype means that al hispanics must be greedy job stealers.

OT: Mexico is the new wild west. except they use assault rifles instead of buffalo rifles, and semi-automatics instead of revolvers.

Well that is why I want to stop acting this way but I already have a lot of wrong misconceptions about you guys now at least I realized and am trying to correct my mistake but it's sort of hard when you hear news about them being racist or assholes or something like that all the time it's like everywhere I go there is someone criticizing them for some reason so it's kind of hard to stop...
PS: Have you noticed that I have avoided calling them any name, I think that has to do with this racism issue.
PSS: Hey this is my last post of the night so good night won't respond to any more comments since it seems I got a lot of people interested in talking about the "thing I suddenly realized" so anyway thanks for listening it was nice discussion, good night and yes my ego is so big that I feel I must put this message here.

I also realized only after describing the game to friend, that Deus Ex can sound a lot like "do sex." I think I was the only person who chuckled at that.
Aw, now I'm going to giggle every time....
