Yeah? And what exactly did they do to it?SenisterDenister said:I just want Fallout to die and be left in peace. It never needed a third game, and I hate Bethesda even more for what they did to it.
Yes really. Having Obsidian work on it is a step up from the previous development team but its still under complete Bethesda control, hence the information lock from the communities and an absolute lack of community interaction from the development staff like in most Obsidian games. They're a good company, you know, one of the ones that actually listen to their fanbase instead of slop shit into the game and telling their buyers that everything they wanted and would ever need is already in it, minus the downloadable content, of course.zombiejoe said:...really? I understand what your saying, but just in my opinion the gameplay and missions where fun. Sure the story wasn't great, nor was the fighting, but I thought it was a good game. And I have played a little bit of the original games, and they where ok as well.SenisterDenister said:Yes really. Bethesda only did what they did to make money, not to make a game for the Fallout fans to enjoy. They made it for the lowest common denominator and by that I mean you and anyone else that liked that shallow hackneyed tripe of a story and shitty gameplay and bastardized SPECIAL system.
Fuck you people for ruining Fallout, Command and Conquer, and any other franchise of old that had an unneeded sequel. You're all as much to blame as the companies because you don't know any better and fork out your money like you don't have a goddamn brain.

Really though, I want better implemented slavery.![]()
You people forget what INTERPLAY did to itSenisterDenister said:I just want Fallout to die and be left in peace. It never needed a third game, and I hate Bethesda even more for what they did to it.
You're forgetting one thing, skippy: Interplay didn't make any of those. Interplay was the publisher that owned the franchise and then let developers make games. Black Isle made the first two, not the others.PopeJewish said:You people forget what INTERPLAY did to itSenisterDenister said:I just want Fallout to die and be left in peace. Fallout Tactics?
Fallout Brotherhood of Steel?
Bethesda brought it back to not completely sucking
I am a long-time Fallout fan, the first and second are still on my hard drive. Including a save file I made fifteen years ago.SenisterDenister said:Yes really. True but irrelevant. I'm merely pointing out that the vitriol aimed at Bethesda for "ruining" the fallout series is unwarranted when it was ruined by Interplay WELL before Bethesda ended up with the license.SenisterDenister said:You're forgetting one thing, skippy: Interplay didn't make any of those. That said, a lot of developers from Black Isle work for Obsidian. I've got more faith in New Vegas than I did in Fallout 3.
Wouldn't it be RadSiegfried and RadRoy?Frozen Donkey Wheel2 said:Siegfried and Roy.
Now this, I have to agree with. Bethesda's games have a bad habit of shitting themselves and dying at inopportune moments. Thank god for PC ports and patches.Aylaine said:If I'm going to spend 60 dollars on a game, it should work as a finished product, not a beta. Fallout 3 basically was a beta when it came out, with so many issues it was mind boggling. Now, if that same engine is being used for New Vegas, they would do well to fix it. Many Fallout 3 players know exactly what I'm talking about. They won't accomplish much if their games don't work right or crash every 5 minutes.infinity_turtles said:As a fan of games that actually work, I think you're making a mistake. Obsidian's strong point has always been dialogue, and their two biggest weak points are 1)Trying to do too much and 2) Coding.Aylaine said:As a fan of games that actually work, I'm still going to ask.infinity_turtles said:Don't ask Obsidian to code anything they don't have to. Just... don't.Aylaine said:A better game engine. Honestly, no more crashing/memory leaks Bethesda.![]()
