I just want Fallout to die and be left in peace. It never needed a third game, and I hate Bethesda even more for what they did to it.
...really? Just...really?
Yes really. Having Obsidian work on it is a step up from the previous development team but its still under complete Bethesda control, hence the information lock from the communities and an absolute lack of community interaction from the development staff like in most Obsidian games. They're a good company, you know, one of the ones that actually listen to their fanbase instead of slop shit into the game and telling their buyers that everything they wanted and would ever need is already in it, minus the downloadable content, of course.

Bethesda only did what they did to make money, not to make a game for the Fallout fans to enjoy. They made it for the lowest common denominator and by that I mean you and anyone else that liked that shallow hackneyed tripe of a story and shitty gameplay and bastardized SPECIAL system.

Fuck you people for ruining Fallout, Command and Conquer, and any other franchise of old that had an unneeded sequel. You're all as much to blame as the companies because you don't know any better and fork out your money like you don't have a goddamn brain.
just want to say that no one has forced you to play these needless sequals, hopefully.

If I'm going to spend 60 dollars on a game, it should work as a finished product, not a beta. Fallout 3 basically was a beta when it came out, with so many issues it was mind boggling. Now, if that same engine is being used for New Vegas, they would do well to fix it. Many Fallout 3 players know exactly what I'm talking about. They won't accomplish much if their games don't work right or crash every 5 minutes. :)
I don't think mine ever crashed. That said though, the last engine that Obsidian modified, went from stable to crash city. But then, they fixed it with the expansion... So maybe they could fix the engine..... Now I have even more hope for New Vegas!

-The followers from Fallout 3.
-Desmond Lockheart would so kick ass and sorta make sense cause he's on his whole Highlander "There Can Be Only One!" quest.
- Sticky come back as a tough guy actually using minigun.
-More Androids.
-That cowboy from mothership zeata.
-Bearmeat the pet yao guai.
-More houses like Oblivion.

What they really need is the ability for you to become a ghoul, or a super mutant. I mean in Fallout 3 you run around inside of the chamber where they create the super mutants, become exposed to all those chemicals that change them and... nothing happens to you? Let there be a way to be a supermutant, or at the very least a ghoul. I mean to be a ghoul all you have to do is get hit with a ton of radiation. In a world full of nuclear cars thats very doable, by accident even. Of course you would have to be the still intelligent forms of them, but they are around so you could be one.
Also it would be great if your idiot character could manage to pick up a dang bear trap off the ground, or set trip wires. But at least let your character be able to rearm traps.

More game impacting choices. I just finished beating F3 as my good character so I went back to play as my bad character. I shot up megaton, looted it, and then blew it up, and all I felt was, "Man I can't believe I anticipated that..." I would like to have the option to blow all major civilizations up so that I could be alone in the wasteland and such. even though I wouldn't it would be nice to have total freedom like that.

Why did they decide to choose Washington D.C. as the setting for Fallout 3? I can't figure what the appeal is gameplay wise with that place.

I'm sure they'll have an easier time with the new Fallout taking place in Las Vegas, with all its glitz, glamour, and entertainment.

This might be pushing it to the HIGHEST caliber, seeing as its Fallout and Obsidian we're talking about. But maybe, just maybe some co - op. Not asking for much. Just maybe.

A car. That is all.
Okay, so it isn't all, I also need:
Better out-of-vats aiming
Moooooore guns!
Customizable weapons (Which they ARE doing, thankfully)
when you zoom with the left trigger, I want the gun to be aligned with your eye, not just squinting with the weapon where it already is...
Better character animations
More quests, as I had way too much trouble finding enough quests to do...
Better reputation system, based on what you do, rather than good or evil
etc.

I want them to look at some of the overhaul mods and take advice from that.

If they can't do that I'd appreciate it if they could get more variety in the weapons and armour.

-A vehicle/mount/nitro boosts/even just a sprint function.
-A faction reputation system that actually matters.
-Side activities, like fun jobs. Maybe there's a good market for pimping in New Vegas?
-More humour! Black comedy preferably to match the mood.
-Let me kill the kids. If I can't kill kids, don't include them, rather than putting them in to be annoying and making me helpless to shut them up.
-Everything they've said they're going to include/improve on. Looking forward to it.

I'm not holding my breath. A month ago I still hoped Obs would deliver on Alpha Protocol.

Really sofar Obs have messed up everytime with only 1 exception and that is a good expansion to a shitty game (NWN2). Even Kotor2 was only worth the bargain bin, unfinished as it was.

A better game engine. Honestly, no more crashing/memory leaks Bethesda.
Protip: They wanted to keep Windows XP compatability. That's why the memory utilization is tripe.

Also, can we skip armor and weapon degradation? After a while (20 minutes), it just gets as anoying, and flow-breaking as fuck.
Please no. Don't get rid of that. It was implemented wonderfully, and duct-taping together more decrepit guns to make something useful really helped atmospherically.

OT: Implementing larger memory allocations. And I want to visit Tandi's grave.

well even killing the kids in Fallout3 can be a dodgy business as a good large percentage of them are related to quest so it's not really worth it as they would be classed as essential characters throughout most of the game unless you are willing to ignore Bethesda's "safety" features

Pfft Republic of Dave..
Few minutes with me and it became the Republic of 3 Children , Damn children escaped my Death Fist what with Immortality.

I want a weapon that screams as if it was made with anything i could my hands on, like aa match stick as a Crosshair and the entire rifle is kept together by 100 year old Gaffer tape.

also a good morality system, make it good or dont have it.

and make Hardcore Harder i say! HARDER!.
You're a man after my own heart.

THERE'S what I'd like to see in Fallout 3! KILLABLE CHILDREN.

(If this sounds vicious and immoral, that's because it IS vicious and immoral. It is also awesome.)
And if they allow us to be more creative with kills and weapons then it will be Fun too!

In that case, I hope they add an option to toggle it.

I want them release the game finished this time. None of that bullshit that happened to KOTOR II.

As for the game itself, hopefully they make a greater variety in weapons.

i would actually like to see some fallout this time around, as there wasn't any of it in fallout 3.
What do you mean by "fallout this time?"

Like more destroction or references or monsters or what?
i mean the actual game fallout.
........

well they apparently are including monsters/races from the original game this time however it doesn't really matter as NV is a closed story.

I would like to see a vehicle or two which will add some entertainment factor as well more fun travelling.
while i was advocating fallout 3 would be able to hold down the spirit of the original games before it came out, bethesda really disappointed by creating a virtually new universe. in addition to that, they managed to make the wasteland incredibly boring and exaggerated the green ambience of a post nuclear dystopic future.
