Things you'd like to see in games.

A space turn based strategy game where you build your capital and supporting ships, and move your fleets onto which enemy sectors on which to attack. Then in the actual battle you fly as a "Ace" pilot like in Starwars X Wing or TIE Fighter, with the more advanced tactics of having which ships hyper spacing in when where and what enemy ships your capital ships should focus fire on. After you win the battle not only can you now make a new kind of ship, your enemy now can't make that type of ship either making the gave evolve with the war that is going on and create the feel like you are winning. This would emphasize strategic planets to control, where you should defend, but all the while you get to fly around with a small squad and try to help out your tactics from your small fighter.

not so much something in game, but I'd really like to see a fantasy RPG (or any other genre really) include a felt map with a CE. They're just cool for fantasy nerds like me and you never see them any more.

As for something in a game. I'd like to see survival horror done right, what was said in the Extra Credits video about the genre is the same as I've been saying for years.

I would love to see Ashley return to the Mass Effect franchise, that's something that has been annoying me for some time. Yes I know she's not the most popular character but damn it from my perspective Ashley was actually one of the best female characters in gaming and partly that was due to her flaws. It made her feel more human and gave potential to character development, plus she wasn't tarted up as a sex symbol.

I want my sexy space marine back, damn it!!

Also, I want to see a Halo game made solely about the Elites and the Covenant. We've done the UNSC to death now, how about we go have a look at the other side and do it properly? There is a whole untapped world of content in the Covenant's story that is just begging to be told and gameplay mechanics that could redefine the Halo experience.
That's my two cents anyway.

EDIT: Also I just thought of something else.
I'd like to see female aliens. By which I mean for the alien races in games that clearly look nothing like human beings, I would like to see both genders. I mean look at Halo, in official canon we know that there exist female Sangheili, Kig Yar, Unggoy, Jiralhanae, San Shyum, Yan'me and (possibly) Mglekogolo but where the hell are they? We only ever see the males of the species even though they are supposed to represent the whole race we never even see so much as a female Sangheili working a job as a waitress in the background on High Charity.

Now look at Mass Effect, am I the only one that thinks it's odd that no matter what planet or space station we go on we have yet to see a female Turian? Where the hell are they? Salarians, Batarians, Krogans, Elcor, Volus, Drell and so many others... all male without females.
True we've seen both male and female Quarians but they are humanoid so it hardly counts and whil Hanar, Geth and Asari are all off the hook because they are probably mono gendered it still begs the question as to why I cannot for the life of me, see a single female alien that isn't humanoid in all of the Mass Effect universe.

More monster spam shooters that allow you to carry more than 1 gun. Doom 2 is one of my favorite all time shooters because there are swarms of goons (When not on the easiest mode) and you can carry enough weapons to bring them all down (a few were worthless after you got the upgraded version, but some were awesome for the whole game like the single barrel shotgun which takes care or low level goons in 1 shot).

Also women dresses for men. So many good lols could be had.

I did that on M&B.I gave a guy a very weird face, a dress, sunhat, gauntlets that look like oven mitts, a large axe, and a bag of rocks. Twas quite fun.

A steady level-up system in MMOs. I hate it when the difference between 89 and 90 is the same as the difference between 1 and 20.

Realistic gunfire.

You know; bullet drop over distance, heatwave light distortion from gunfire and barrel heat, jamming (not too often, mind you), recoil that effects the players view more than just moving it upwards...

another good Lord of the Rings game, please, the last few have epicly sucked. Or an Oblivion style game where I can free roam to my hearts content, lets cut to the chase...I want Elder Scrolls 5!
