I saw a really cool StarFox logo made into a tribal, just type "star fox tribal" into google picture search and it comes up, looked really nice. I have, like most people, been thinking about a tattoo sometime. I just couldn't decide if I really wanted one or not and then what I wanted, never thought about games as a way to do it.

Yeah, but I'm more of a Slaanesh kina dude, the whole, living for meaningless pleasure and corruption of flesh kina thing. Instead of just war and destruction. Haha, that would actually have some kind of meaning too, and look sick. I've always been a big fan of Lucius the Eternal, plus I think he would translate to ink quite well.

Leaning towards some kina resident evil stuff, like someone said, nemesis would be a pretty awesome counterpoint to Pyramid Head. Also, I normally hate symbols and basic tribal stuff, but the Gears of War COG thing would be pretty awesome. Skulls are never not good.

People are so divided on tattoos....

1) They have to have meaning! You're an idiot if you just think it looks cool!

Seriously? This argument is all sorts of lame. While I pick and choose my tattoos carefully and put a good bit of thought into them, they don't all have some sort of life-altering turning point at their core. I like penguins. I like zombies. Ergo, most of my tats are related to those things. In fact, full sleeve of zombie penguins is in the works on my left leg. And yes, it looks bitchin'. A zombie pinup probably lies in my near future. While paintball is the one thing I do that I really, really enjoy - I won't be getting a tattoo of it. Why? I don't think it'd look all that great. Aesthetics matter.

2) Ink for the sake of ink.

Some folks enjoy different things. Some get a ton of piercings, others collect salt and pepper shaker sets. It's all about personal preference on what you like to do. I've got a buddy that makes a trip to the shop every few weeks, chats with one of the artists for a bit, works out a "sick" tattoo to get, and walks out a few hours later with either a complete tattoo or the line-work for a larger piece. He just likes ink and the individual artists' views coming out in the work.

3) My favorite: My body is a temple!

These are the folks with no piercings, no vices, no ink, no body modification of any kind. That's cool. If that's how you feel, go for it! Keep your self-righteous "holier than thou" attitude to yourself and don't lecture me for getting ink.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one and thinks everyone else's stinks.
