Wait... how did that not make sense? Say what you like about The Departed (personally I loved it and was quite happy to see a movie that was actually entertaining win Best Picture again after years or boring arthouse 'message' films winning), but it was hardly difficult to follow. Unless you meant you just didn't like it and can't make sense of why your mother did?

Because it's freaking awesome?
What a great movie.

How about the pretentious yet idiotic philosophical rambling in Eternal Sonata? That was awful.

I kid, I kid, I know nobody understood that book.

Still kidding, I understand it fine.
That was quite the read, yes. So well written that I, myself, felt insane.

The silent hill series made about as much sense as a chocolate teapot.
There used to be a cult that worshiped demons/gods wich caused the town to be supernatural. It sometimes atracts people that have commited crimes to pay for them. Some of the cultist want to sacrifice a person in order to birth god and bring heaven to earth. Does it make sense now?

I'll agree with you on that. Although it probably did make sense, it's just too damn boring to keep track of things.

Chocolate teapots make more sence (Dude. I can't believe I even typed that, so I'm leaving it there. Sence.. lol.) than regular ones.

Since when can the average teapot serve you melted chocolate with your tea?

The Complete Idiot's Guide To Wicca.

Two of my friends consider themselves (closet) wiccans, and in me trying to understand what the fuck that entails they let me borrow that to read.

I read it, then reread it and it makes just as much sense as the bible.

MGS4. Yeah. I went there.

Otherwise, the Borat and Bruno films seemed to be random plot used loosely to stitch together a load of randomly occuring scenes that make no sense whatsoever but just happen to be pretty hilarious. Pretty retarded films, on the whole. Yet still amazingly awesome...
Agreed, except for the part where they are "awsome"

I would say Songs from the Second Floor. I watched that in a film class and we just kept waiting and waiting for this Swedish film to make sense but the directors just kept adding things!

There was a guy who burnt down his store for insurance money-okay

His son went crazy from writing poetry-all right

The guy becomes a cross salesman-still making sense

Some guy is almost sawn in half but has nothing to do with the plot-what?

The guy sees a dead annoying guy and a russian boy who was killed by Nazi's-wow that's interesting and tragic

Political figures decide to sacrifice a girl-but wait what about the guy?

Girl pushed off cliff-but the guy??

Man burns crosses, can't get money for them-but the little girl?

Dead annoying guy, russian boy, little girl, and thousands of other ghosts walk towards man-what?

End.

And it won the grand prize at the Cannes International Film festival!

The miniseries The Prisoner. I've never seen the original one but the new one was retarded. "Okay, so this guy's going to help him, but then he dies and is never mentioned again, so maybe that was just a dream, then a giant floating balloon kills three people in a tunnel and THAT's never mentioned again, so maybe that's just a dream too. After about two half-hearted escape attempts he just stops trying, and just complains for the rest of the series, so maybe he suffered serious head trauma or something..."

best scene ever is when he's fucking and shooting at the same time... Epic.
What movie is this from?

OT: Alice in Wonderland did not make any sense until I discovered that the guy who wrote it was on drugs.

Most of the Metal Gear Solid games try to get so convoluted that they have to fall back to a certain level of absurdity after writing themselves into a corner.

Also, the FLCL amine is fairly erretic, but does eventually make sense if you watch it enough. Excel Saga... slightly less so.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassis (spelling?)
You watch the entire thing and at the end of the film your left sitting there thinking...what?

To be fair, the bits in catch 22 which make the least sense are the best. Chapter 3 with Orr talking about his apple cheeks and the whore is one of the best parts of any book ever.

I wish I had to write an essay about Catch 22
