That happened to me. What really sucks is I managed to kill the bugger just as a piece of concrete smacks into me and incapacitates me because I couldn't get out of the way fast enough.

warcraft when my guild engaged algalon in 25 man for the first time, it was obvious he was going to be hard but nothing quite prepares you as a healer for the tank getting hit for 20k odd a second, also bear in mind that this was a mere 3 weeks after ensidea got the world first so no-one really knew how hard he was

Fallout 3: when you have to go and get the tesla coil but first you have to go through the deathclaw infested town. When I was told that all I could think of was ".....*sigh* shit".
Spiderman 2: when you confront mysterio in the convenience store "Before the actual fight I though "just great were in a small space so very little room to move around in and he's got two shit loads of health..... god damn it"

I recently played a mach of Scavenge in Left 4 Dead 2 that turned into one of these situations.

It was overtime and I was carrying the last gas can to win the game, when my last teammate gets pulled away by a Smoker. So I was all alone, in overtime, carrying the last can. The feeling I felt was that of absolute terror, because I knew as soon as I started to pour the can I would be killed. But I had no choice. I ran up to the generator, only to be attacked by a Charger. Game over.

Final Fantasy 7, when you just leave midgar and try t advance in the story without knowing you need a chocobo... trying to outrun that snake, it catching you... and it bein around 10 times the size of your characters.... its suck an "awwww no" moment that can be sao easily avoided

Anytime I play Left 4 Dead on Expert. Alone. Because the bots are idiots and just stand there when I get pulled away by a Smoker or incapped. And anytime I light the Tank on fire, because you know even if he dies, the AI Director's going to throw a bitchfit because your teammates are dead and send either a Hunter or a Smoker after you.
