Guilliman. Great. /sarcasm Shouldn't have brought Matthew "Spiritual Liege" Ward back, GeeDubs.

Should have been Corax. Then we'd at least have had someone interesting.
Raven Guard represent, couldn't have taken the words out of my mouth quicker..

I'll be honest: I'm not so much a fan of the First Founding Raven Guard as much as I am a fan of their Second Founding successors, the Raptors. But they're still sons of Corax, so I guess it's not that much of a difference.

Blame Ward, he's the one that turned them into Marty Stu douchebags.

Interesting. Is he going to use the same stat-line as his 30k version?

I just like their Color Palette.

All the other colors of the other chapters are lame in my eyes.
Raptors. Armor painted in camo patterns. Beakie armor at that.

Plus, they get to use an alternate fire mode with their Bolters: Heavy 1, RENDING. Granted, only if they stand still, but it's still awesome.

But than again if Ward is writing for Dawn of War 3, where are the Ultramainres?
They're going to retcon the Bloody Magpies as sons of Guilliman, I'll bet.
Well, there's a good fear of that.

Given that Blood Ravens' claim to fame is that they don't know who their primarch is, Guilliman coming back, and the direction of how GW is going now... I wouldn't be completely shocked if Papa Smurf saw his Little Boys Blue as lacking and decided to make a new chapter more in line of his supposed ideal.

That was literally the most stupidest thing I could think of, so I expect it to be canon relatively soon.

~Edited~ I had to add this because I just thought of something stupider. Ward (if he's writing) can look no further than the Ultramarines own game in "Space Marine" to connect the dots. Why was Titus able to resist Chaos? Is it because he was created with the same process that Guilliman used to create his successor chapter of the Blood Ravens?

Absolutely not. No freaking way. But I have no doubt in my mind that Ward (if writing III) will find a way to shoehorn it in if he is so inclined.

Similar but probably not exact. The dude has had his throat slit, been frozen for 9,000 years and is only alive thanks to alien space marine and machines. So he's a little off his game.

Having it be the Ultramarine Primarch is a tad bit predictable, but I'm grinning ear to ear at the fact that this is happening. After all, if he comes back, the other Primarchs might not be far behind.

...He's got fire on his legs.

Don't these people love their parchment-covered-in-wax decorations? And now this bloke is running around with fire on his legs.

Actually, if they've got Ward back writing, that's going to be an apt signifier of the Ultra's upcoming tactical acumen.

Oh my goodness I think I can confirm that Ward is behind this, case in point the model, you see that Sword Guilliman is wielding in this model:

That's the God Emperor's Sword:

Wait they hired Ward back? Seriously? Why didn't the interweb explode?!

His wiki page says he's a novelist

Always loved their color palette, sadly I got my first Smurf army in 4th ed and could not stand the Ultramarine wank in the codex, which is why I went for making my own (and the "Create your Chapter"-rules were awesome).

That's one incredibly busy model. I mean, Jesus H Christ that is a BUSY model. I thought Celestine and the Bloodthrister were busy back in their days, but this goes way beyond that. Someone should be forced to take a lesson in "less is more", because that entire model will look fugly when viewed from a distance on a tabletop if given a paint job that all those details need.

God damn, GW used to be awesome at conservation of detail to make their models pop when viewed from playing distance. What happened?

Back in my days (10 years ago by now), GW had a very strong design department (arguably why we begun with FB/40k and not Warmachine, which was cheaper). Even if the GRIMDARK was pronounced even then, the models at least were suitable for the 45mm scale they were in. Ever since Age of Sigmar it seems GW has gone more towards MOAR DETAILS EVERYWHERE, which just looks messy on a tabletop, especially when put next to 9 other miniatures with similar amounts of detail.

...Wait, GW actually did something new with the setting by ACTUALLY moving things forward and bringing back a Primarch? Holy cra- oh, it's Papa Smurf. God dammit, you bring back the most boring Primarch? What the hell GW-

Oh. Ward's back. God dammit. Well, my money says by the end of wherever this goes, Papa Smurf somehow closes the Eye Of Terror, redeems the Traitor Primarchs and crowns himself the new God Emperor or something. I know, I'm assuming some restraint on the part of Ward, but it's possible he learned to hold back his Mary Sue Powers while he was away from the Codexes.

(That said I did like his Necron stuff, it just seems he can't do anything with Space Marines without fucking it 5 ways from Sunday.)

Well, not the ONLY one, though to be fair I only like a rare few Ultramarines while the rest can choke on their boring mary sueness.

Oh Captain Tidus, if only Space Marine had received a sequel...

Yeah, say what you want about GW over the years, but their aesthetic has become WAAAY to f***in' busy lately. I can just see that model melting together when viewed from a distance.

Well, too be fair, they already brought back Magnus the Red [https://www.games-workshop.com/en-SE/magnus-the-red] to fight the Space Wolves - who, coincidently, got some of the fugliest models GW have produced in years [https://www.games-workshop.com/en-SE/Space-Wolves-Wulfen].

Outside of Big Blue Billy, who else would be reasonably able to to bring back? Khan?s missing in the webway, Vulkan?s missing with some orks somewhere, Corax and Russ are missing in the Eye of Terror, Ferrus and Sanguinius are dead, Lion is missing in the Warp, and Dorn is currently in a limbo of dead or Warp-missing.

Guilliman?s the only one who can be brought back reasonably currently. And from the rumors and leaks I?ve been seeing, he?s only the first Primarch to return. Some of the others will return in future installments.

Now the big thing is, how will the Dark Angels take to Cypher and some Fallen working with Guilliman and the Ultramarines? Potential large-scale war between the DA and their successors against the UM and their successors?
