The same present. Four times. In. One. YEAR!

It was a little tank that you drew a line on the paper in a special marker and the tank followed it. Ha ha, SUCH fun! (cookie for reference)

The thing is that I played with the one my mum got me and everyone saw me with it ( I was 12 and it was at a family party, with my 4 yr old cousin). Then they all felt happy because they all thought, 'aww he's playing with the present I got him.'

WRONG

I would have to say my cell phone. I rarely use it, whenever I need to call somewhere, I just use one of my friends' phones, and people only seem to text me when I'm trying to do something. When my grandma gave it to me I didn't even say anything until she asked if I realized what it was. Even then it was clear that I didn't want it.

A banjo, I am not kidding. My mother gave me a banjo because I had started listening to country music. (And she also asked me to make a wish list so that I would get what I wanted to)
You say 'a banjo' like its a bad thing :O
DEMON
give it to me :'( Id be happy to have a free banjo. Unless you're mixed up with ukelele in which case no thanks)

Also, theres lots of people complaining about getting clothes? Some free jeans or something would be nice. -.- although there tends to be a few t shirts which end up being the 'redecorating/painting/building etc' shirt.

Up until a couple of years ago, my aunt would always get me shorts for my birthday (in December), and shirts one size too small.

My uncle (who is a successful business representative)bought me two t-shirts for Christmas one year, one with the Trix Rabbit on it and a Kid Rock shirt... I was 18 at the time and I was ready to smack him for such a stupid, thoughtless gift.

I generally don't think clothing should be considered as a present, unless it is something other than socks and underwear. That being said, my Mom once gave me frilly things, and if she looked at what I actually wore from my closet, frilly would have been on the bottom of any list of my clothing preferences, and one year I got a neon yellow shirt (yes, this was in the 80's when Neon was "in", that made me look like I was about to puke/death warmed over.

But one thing I can't abide is dollar store/cheapy crap stuff. I got more dollar "skin cream" than I can bear to think of, and it did nothing for me and felt slightly burning on my (admittedly) sensitive skin. Other crap gifts: random perfume (I won't wear it unless I like the scent, and buying it randomly will make it almost certain I won't like the smell), any kind of self-grooming products (which makes you wonder what the other person is trying to say about your grooming habits), and from one particularly clueless relative, a package which was underarm deodorant. Because telling someone you think they smell is the best present of all... (and no, I didn't and don't. She was just clueless as to what an appropriate gift was).

Learn 'em right. Learn to play "Duelling Banjos" from 'Deliverance'. That'll teach 'em!

My brother is autistic, and so he doesn't really know my personality very well, and so he gets me stuff for 10 year olds. I remember last year he got me some rubbish bow that fires plunger things. And I was 15...

But then again, all I got him is beer and chocolates, but that's his fault for NOT having a personality!

One Christmas I was at my dads house, and while my Stepmom and Stepsisters were opening up gifts of jewelry and concert tickets, I got a $25 dollar gift certificate to Chick-Fil-A. I wouldn't be so pissed about it, but 95% of the year I live with my Mom in Buffalo... where there are no Chick-Fil-A's to use the stupid gift card.

I always welcome socks as a present. I go through socks very quickly and it's something I really can't be bothered to buy myself. People always look shocked/relieved when I ask for socks.

One time a friend gifted me a golfball. Nothing else, just one golfball he probably had found somewhere in the bushes. He had wrapped it in Christmas paper with a silver ribbon on it.

Worst present ever, but it was a good prank.

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor yesterday asshole doctor said "I got you a tumor for Christmas"
Please tell me you're joking. Because A) That doctor probably has the worst bedside manner outside of the realms of fiction, and B) What a shitty thing to find out on christmas. If I was your doctor, I'd have been tempted to say 'we'll send you the results in 6-8 weeks' and let you have a nice christmas.

OT: I don't think I've ever been given a present that I could call 'the worst'. I did receive a HUGE book on bugs about 10 years ago and was pretty ungrateful in front of the giver (I was about 8... so sue me), but the book ended up being pretty damn interesting.

Never got another present from that family member though,
