So last night, in our dorm, apparently some people ripped off the screens to the bath room window, threw out the trash can, broke the toilet paper covers, broke the soap dispenser, sprayed soap all over the place and threw up in the bathroom. Oh, and broke some of the ceiling tiles in the hall. Why do some people feel the need to just destroy stuff and mess things up for everyone else?

It´s not fun. Often when i see people break stuff, be a bus stop or a face, i wonder what´s broken inside them.

Couldn't agree more.

It's part of human nature, though we tend to lock it away when we're sober. I guess being drunk just brings it out more in certain individuals

I don't want to say that you're wrong, but its hard to think of a better way to describe it.

I like to destroy stuff, but not stuff that's of any worth. I wouldn't vandalise a public area, or stuff I need.

I do destroy bits of paper and junk that's not any use to anyone lol.

You honestly tell me that it's entertaining to destroy things that other people use, and in some cases depend on?

Usually because things that aren't all that funny seem a lot more amusing when drunk?

A lot of the hilarious goings on in my dorm would never have happened without alcohol - the time we clingfilmed someone's door, the road closed sign that moved around the corridor on a regular basis, or the tree that someone woke up to find in their room.
Less fun was the time that someone nearly burnt the place down...
There's a balance between funny banter and anti-social behaviour that some people can find and others can't. You seem to have ended up with the latter group. Sorry!

Yeh pretty much drinking causes this kind of stuff. Normally I would be the last person to do something like this, but after a few drinks I'm happy to join in kicking over bins and running off with signs and stuff.

It depends on the person. Some people do it because they suck and some people do it because they are too dumb to realise it isn't awesome to break stuff that other people need. In any case they are just assholes... so yeah...

There's people who travel all around the world just to get into protests and start shit.

Heh, reminds me off the time my friend got so drunk, he made paper aeroplanes, set them on fire and threw them out of his window (overlooking a street).
I didn't get involved, cuz I was a good kid. Although I DID encourage him to drink. Maybe assistedin the aeroplane making. Nudged the lighter in his direction perhaps...

But seriously, there was a documentary about those ass hats some time after "the battle for Los Angeles". 2001-2003 I think they made it.

I can understand that its part of human nature and that sometimes breaking stuff can relieve stress, but the problem is this happens on a regular basis. Pretty much every weekend someone throws up in a toilet or sink and the hallway is usually a mess. I feel sorry for the janitors that have to clean it up.

Because that sorta stuff always seems like a fantastic idea when you're drunk.
