No. I actually never have. I did say "Did I pay real money for that?" after watching Epic Movie, followed by "Holy crap I think I did."
I'm bisexual myself, but it wasn't necessary to supply that information just to prove my point. I'm far from offended by homosexuality on the "big screen," even if it was involving a man I'd wanted to make love with since "A Knight's Tale," lolLeodiensian said:Don't worry, I'm gay and I hated Brokeback Mountain. I love Heath Ledger. I'd always wanted to be in a movie with him one day, you know, as his sexy costar who he has an affair with. Then he went and died. I also am fond of Jake Gyllenhall. Hated them together in this movie. I've gone on total rampages about this movie before and how much it sucked, but I'll summarize here.
Now, when I say "I hated Brokeback Mountain," (and yes, I actually do mean "hate," a word I don't throw around) people say "You just don't like it because they're gay," No. They fail at life. Don't try to project society's reflection on homosexuality onto a movie review. Brokeback Mountain was a terrible movie because it had a terrible, uninteresting plot.
Exposition: Jake and Heath get a job together as cowboys.
Rising Action: The guys have sex. This little bump of a rising action leads up to... oh wait, nothing! There was no climax!
Up on the little mesa the rising action got us to: The guys go home and get married like normal men but still meet up for "fishing trips." Their wives get antsy and their marriages go down the drain.
Resolution: Jake dies. There. Thank the goddess, that put an end to that.

You take that back immediately. Had Heath Ledger still been alive he would've won the Oscar.shatnershaman said:Dark Knight yay another superhero movie.
I knew it was a musical, I just thought it would be more morbid, that little S**t would get in a pie, that stupid romantic boy would grow a goddamned brain, and Mr. Todd would actually get his revenge rather then fluffing about like other great killers in History,(Hamlet, Altair, MacDuff).Vortigar said:You didn't know it was a musical, am I right?
A couple sitting behind me went "When are they going to stop singing?"
I was sniggering for a good minute because of that one.
He WILL win an Oscar. They haven't held them yet, but there's been talk of him getting one regardless.Sustenance said:You take that back immediately. Had Heath Ledger still been alive he would've won the Oscar.shatnershaman said:Dark Knight yay another superhero movie.

I had rented "Brokeback Mountain", and "Eragon" as well (I was tempted by dragons- and was promptly let down). I have yet to walk out of a theatre because I won't pay that much money for a wasted evening. I make sure the movie is going to be good before I pay to see it. Otherwise, I rent later or mooch off of a friend who works at the theatre to get in for free.
Someone mentioned a D&D movie... with Jeremy Irons? I believe you're thinking of "Eragon." I've seen most of the D&D movies (even the bad SciFi Channel ones) and none of them have been high-enough budget to afford Jeremy Irons. I suppose I could be missing one somewhere, but I'm rather sure you just saw a dragon and assumed D&D.
Oh, and to whomever said that the directors of the "Epic Movie," etc needed to die: as an American, I disowned the Wayans Brothers long ago. Weren't they also responsible for "White Chicks"? I'd check myself, but I'm on my friend's iMac at the moment (the original iMac- with the colored backing on its monstrous monitor (yes, they still exist, apparently)) and I'm afraid I'll crash the thing if I open a new window.
that leech has been at the top of IMDB's top movie list for way to long.thebobmaster said:WHOO! I think now he's gotten a lot like a particular Australian writer called Tim Winton.BlazeTheVampire said:Burton does so much with dark and gloomy that we literally can't see him doing anything else now, and it's terrible for a director not to think outside of the box he's created for himself.
