Any of those modern "parody movies" that come out now make me think about punching anyone who laughs at them in the face. They're just low quality.

I was also stuck in a predicament to see Happy Feet. 1.5 hours of face palming.

I thought Happy Feet was 1.5 hours of reciting the dialogue from Snatch and Lock Stock in your head.
Then thinking of ways to apply those quotes to the parasites of hospitality; Customers.

The first film I ever walked out of was Pocohontis when I was like, nine. It was dragging far, far too much, see. Since then:

I've fallen asleep when streaming Blade Runner.
Gave up on Space Odyssey about ten minutes in.
Walked out of the newest Wallace and Gromit movie (because re-using jokes is never good, especially a decade after you first used 'em).
Fell asleep towards the end of Pirates of the Caribbean in the cinema. I woke up and found it was still going on, an hour later.

i've never walked out of the cinema because i generally know if its good before i see it but there have been several DVD's that i couldn't finish

Going Overboard (WTF was that movie about?)
Epic Movie (well technically it wasn't a movie but more of random scenes from other movies taped together and called satire)
Alone in the dark

I don't walk out of movies... then again, I tend to only watch good movies.

Same here. One can generally tell beforehand whether a movie will be so colossally bad it will drive you out of the theater. Anyone else use my RottenTomatoes rule?

Basically, if it's above a 70, and you think it looks good, it's probably worth seeing in theatres.

Below a 70 and you think it looks good, rent it. . . maybe.

I'm not saying a follow critics to the ends of the earth, but, it's saved me money in the past. (see: Hancock, Spiderman 3)

and gotten me to see surprisingly-good movies (Hellboy was actually entertaining.)

and yes i just realized those are all superhero movies.
huh.
I don't trust Roten tomatoes anymore. I use the IMDB score as a judge nowadays. If it has 6.5 or higher, I might consider spending $10 to see it. If it is 8.5 or higher, I will almost definately spend the $ to see it.

Someone mentioned a D&D movie... with Jeremy Irons? I believe you're thinking of "Eragon." I've seen most of the D&D movies (even the bad SciFi Channel ones) and none of them have been high-enough budget to afford Jeremy Irons. I suppose I could be missing one somewhere, but I'm rather sure you just saw a dragon and assumed D&D.
Nope, here ya go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeons_&_Dragons_(film)
Was rather fond of it at the time, and yus, Jeremy Irons is there and awesome :3
I was going to link to IMDB [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0190374/] myself... Irons is a repeat offender as far as cheezy dragon flicks go. Heck, that flick is one reason I stayed away from Eragon, both the flick and the game. (The trial of the game is another. Hey, if it's free I'm willing to test my preconceptions.)

What was it, Into the Blue? Yeaaaah, got dragged into that one. I couldn't walk out because I went with a group of friends, and had I left there would be no ride home. That was the only movie I ever wanted to walk out on, and I'm very suspicious of any movie with Jessica Alba in it.

I probably would have walked out on Stardust if I saw it in theaters. I had to watch it in pieces on dvd, it was soooo dragged out. I loved the book, it could have been so much more better!

Alright I feel compelled. Firstly while watching Jurassic Park, during the first T-rex part...

T-rex: "ROAR!"
Father next to me: "SNORE!"

I had to wake him up and make him watch the movie.

Terrible movies, there are so many nowadays. I've never walked out on a movie, but there are movies I've had to pause and go slap myself because they were so stupid, and/or fast forward threw most of them to get to less stupid parts that I could bear. But #1 on the list is Dragon Wars. Holy shit that movie is just awful. It took me 4 hours to watch the whole thing cause I kept having to leave the room.

I probably should have walked out on:
The Incredible hulk (non-reboot)- SNORE FEST
Bewitched- DIDN'T REALLY MAKE A LOT OF SENSE
And the Uncut Taledega Nights- TOO LENGTHY AND TRYING TO HARD TO BE OFFENSIVE

Problem is they were playing in my own house.

I walked out on (I think) Towering Inferno, a horrible foreign-made POS with Lorne Greene sitting at a desk pretending to speak on the phone. At that time there was one theater in town, with one screen, and the same movie played for two weeks or more, so I've seen some stinkers.

And I walked out on Daredevil, but I was there for business and hadn't paid so that didn't count, right?

My wife and I discussed walking out on Titanic, but decided we had developed such a deep, burning hatred of Jack and Rose that we'd burn another hour just to see them DIE!

As to rentals - Napoleon Dynamite (WTF? Why is this recommended?) and The Blair Witch would have required walking out, had we paid (both were loaned.) We finished the first (and I threatened the manhood of those who had recommended it to me.) As to the second... Damn. Just... Damn. Trapped in the deep woods? The woods behind my house are thicker. That whole area's scrub, been logged within twenty years, there's a clearing in view, and there're freakin' tractor tracks! The only way that thing would be scary is if I'd paid money to see it.

The only movie that I ever walked out on and demanded my money back for was the remake of the Manchurian Candidate. I love Denzel, but man, that movie was awfull. Also, once I made a huge stink and got a refund off of the video game Crackdown which I rented form Blockbuster.

As much as people are gonna flame me for saying this....

I wished I had walked out of Hellboy 2, it took every cliche thing sequels have and put them together with an ending that made me want to curbstomp a baby.

"Bad Boys 2". It was beyond bad. Hell, I sat through "Transformers" and "The Matrix: Reloaded", so I can stomach quite a lot, but that one was beyond the pale.

I will pretty much watch any movie all the way through before giving it a raping. I seriously liked Wall.e, Sunshine, Cloverfield as well as some other films.

Alone in the dark was a poor film, and I'm a fan of the game series.

I think 300 was an awesome film, mainly because there was blood and body parts flying around. I'm a huge fan of Transformers, so the film was awesome too xD

As for series, Battlestar Galactica, the new series, is a brilliant series. I love it! And I cannot wait for season 4 to come out. Red Dwarf was an excellent British Comedy, got all the series, I do hope they pick up up again. Lost was okay at first, but then it went downhill through season 2, haven't bothered watching it anymore.
