What!!! Someone dares to enjoy a fashion sense that I expressive hate being stuck in a 19 century view on gender roles and the way they should dress!? Clearly this shit must stop, because how dare men choose to dress different!
It has nothing to do with gender roles, and everything to do with stupid names. Or should I start mashing the word man with the names of every type of clothing article out there?
"Moxers or mreifs?"
"Put a pair of mants on!"
"Honey, could you sew a button back onto my mirt?"
"Why would I need a motorised mie rack? I don't even wear mies!"

As for the "fashion" angle...... fashion is changing all the time, one century everyone's in kilts and togas, in another hose, doublets and ruffled collars are the "must wear" item for fashionably dressed men, in any era what you're wearing will look rediculous to someone from another, just look at how people today view the 80's.

OT: all joking aside, I dont see anything wrong iwth it. I personally cant get into sandels, but I dont have the feet for them. Plus I've never found a good pair that I could run it like I have tennis shoes.

and also, a murse is a male nurse. A man purse is called a napsack or a satchel.
Did you look at those images?

Men wearing 3 inch heels? That's not fashion sense. That's being a transvestite. Same with skirts, and don't bring up the Scottish - it's a cultural thing for them. This isn't culture, this is dumb as shit.

Sandals I tolerate - they're light and good for summer, when your feet would stink like hell after 6 hours in the sun. Besides, like someone said on page one - men have been wearing them everywhere where the climate allowed it, Japan, Mediterranean and the East.

Yes I saw. Im just not that judgmental. I never said it was fashionable, just I dont see anything wrong with men wanting to dress like that.

I dont tell women they cant wear pants, so I wont tell me they cant wear heels or panties.

Except most of the time you don't see women shaving their heads, growing beards and using male deodorants. This thing here is borderline retarded.

Not any more. According to that link a "murse" is no longer a male nurse. Knapsacks or satchels worn by men now fall under the "man-bag" section.
Yeah, it's a Yahoo article. Most of the time their full of pop-culture bullshit that no one really gives two shits about. Also, mandals? Since when is it considered out of the ordinary for men to where sandals? So yeah, the hipster imbecile who wrote the article can call satchels and knapsacks a "murse" but the rest of the world will kindly continue using terms that don't sound retarded.

My reaction after reading this and OP's little ***** fest:

Seriously though, who cares? What is it a maritime law that men can't be fashionable? Why are those items (save for some of the more outlandish ones) automatically deemed female products and fashions only? Who cares if a guy wants to carry a hand bag around. Maybe he has some shit he'd like to carry around with him as well without having to either carry it in his pockets or hands, or heave a huge messenger bag around just to look "socially acceptable". And don't talk shit on mandals either. Sandals are comfortable! Personally I think it's quite cute that these people are making up these words. They sound hilarious when you try to say them. Geez OP lighten up, we already have a surplus of pessimism in this world, we don't need any more.

As for the whole staycation thing, way to be a douche and make people who are broke or can't afford a "proper" vacation away from home feel even more inept.
Aparently you cant read. I never said there was anything wrong with people wearing the clothes or even the clothes themselves (except maybe the "mankini" photo). I hate the WORDS they used. Calling a pair of heels "meels" just because they are on a guy is what irks me. And as someone who lives around the povertly line and paycheck to paycheck Im fairly familiar with going nowhere during my vacation time.

Wait, what's the crap about the rise of men wearing sandals?!?! They pretty much predate shoes for crying out loud. It has always been acceptable for men to wear sandals. If there was ever a unisex item of clothing it was sandals.

I mean, the rest of the fashion stuff I wouldn't be caught dead in, but SANDALS?!? You cannot pretend they are feminine. Men have been wearing them since the dawn of civilisation, in all cultures and societies. Abraham, Sun Tsu, Eric the Red, Julius Caeser, Chris Colombus, Atahualpa, Genghis Khan, that prehistoric caveman that was found frozen in ice, all wore sandals.

Also "After almost a decade of these hybrid terms" Bullcrap. 90% of these I've never heard of, and I'm considering that the article made up half of them!
QFFT

I agree wholeheartedly. What the fuck kind of society do we live in where these terms would be acceptable?

And I agree with the sandals, too. I wear sandals all the time, and I'm not called out on them being feminine at all.

Oh some fashion trends, you so crazy!

For me fashion is my ZP t-shirt, a pair of long shorts, socks and my gas-mask.

Actually scratch that, thats my all purpose wear, I can certainly think of certain fashion styles I think look particulary good.

Well, it's not much different to the Batcopter, Batmobile, Bat credit card...

I honestly haven't heard of any of these. Apart from Mankini. Guyliner too... I don't see guys walking around in them too. Apart from guyliner.

Maybe men are like 'Women get to wear pants and male clothes, it's time for us! Lets go boys!'

That was truly some horrific stuff I've just seen. This needs to stop. The manbag is kind of acceptable, sandals are meh, same for the jewelry, but the rest... eugh. Why would anyone wear that?
