No, you're a figment of my imagination, now shut up.

I'm afraid I can't believe your story as it makes no logical sense. There is no reason to wonder about existence because in fact your reality is just a bunch of electrical impulse and chemicals being fired and stored in your brain anyways, nothing more, so reality as we think of it already does not exist.

So, while watching a Youtube video...he was talking about realities, and simulations and what not.

Could we in fact be living in a virtual reality? Maybe even something like in the Matrix? Is this world actually real? If not....are you all a part of a program? Are my parents even real? Or maybe this is all a dream...and in fact, I'm in a coma that looks real. If a program, maybe I'm hooked up to some machine and put in a virtual reality so I don't see the "truth" of whatever that might be. And then that brings us back, is everyone around me (online and real life) part of a program to make me think everyone is real?

I had a very strange experience when I was really young (must have been 5 or 6...I'm 21 now)...costco had just recently opened in california and I never had been in one. About 10 seconds after walking inside Costco (I was with my Papa at the time), everything completely stopped..."time" itself stopped...even myself was completely frozen. There was no sound, movement or anything...but...I could still see everything in front of me, but my eyes wouldn't move. I remember a guy walking out of the bathroom area holding a newspaper as he walked out...he too had stopped. This lasted 5 or 6 seconds.

Now here is the strange part...when "time" continued...NOTHING jumped in place...the guy walking out of the bathroom kept walking as normal. But it wasn't like him jumping out of the location, he just continued moving smoothly...JUST like in the Matrix when they freeze time, and then it continues as normal..had a hard time explaining that one.

Was that a "glitch" in the program? Something else entirely? Guess we or I may never know. I did ask my Papa many years later, and he said that never happened to him. He said it was strange, but he had no memory of it.
Okay, for the second but, I think your imagination got the better of you. But otherwise, you almost sound like a post-modern existentialist. (look it up)

Here is why you shouldn't worry about it; What difference does it make to you? Nothing. Because if you're real, you're doing what you want to do and if you're programmed you're doing what someone else wants you to do.
And, from your perspective, it's all real anyways.

Sometimes our perceptions of things are seen in a quicker or slower motion, especially out perception of time.

What you saw was normal. I reiterate normal

But then again, I might be working for them, or programmed to type this, who really knows?

All I have to say about this is 1. Memories aren't perfect. They can be completely fabricated by your own mind, meaning some of your childhood memories may not have occured, or may have been dreams. 2. I actually wonder about this myself sometimes, but I don't think it really is. But hey, maybe we'll find out when we die.

First off, you missed this whole debate by about a decade when the matrix came out, secondly, we have three names (each a different classification) for what you experienced, I am not sure what yours is it may be a combination of them, here are the scientific names:

1.) Magic Mushrooms
AND/OR
2.) Total Bullshit
AND/OR
3.) FuckedUpness of the Brain

So while I *completely* believe you experienced a glitch in reality, please analyze and see if which of these situations your experience falls under.

If it is none of them, CONGRATULATIONS! It is time to start your own religion! Remember, no matter what anyone says, it is completely normal to believe that all of reality was created for your benefit in the form of a virtual program and that it solely exists for you to experience, and for these beliefs to come from an action film.

May I recommend calling Tom Cruise? He usually like to get in on the ground floor of this stuff.

maybe your brain messed up. Many people believe time is a state of mind, like how time flies when having fun, as well as when a police officer or soldier sees slo-mo when bullets start flying. maybe your brain gitched.
I never really understood how someone can see time in slo-mo, do they actually see time going slow?

You are right, it could have been my brain messing up for some reason. The brain is a strange thing.
It's pretty much adrenaline causing the person's reaction time to spike, making them speed up ahead of everything.

Sounds like someone's got a bad case of the solipsism (Don't know if someone already mentioned it, but I come bearing links!):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solipsism

I can't really relate to you because I've never had a similar experience, but I still have had similar thoughts about the world before. Solipsism's actually a really interesting idea though, and if it is true, and everything's just part of my own mind, I'm one creative guy!

my thought is that if such a program existed, movies like the matrix would not be allowed to be made by whoever runs the program
This whole OP is retarded, but lets say it's all true and it is just a program.

The people running the program would probably ENCOURAGE movies like the matrix. After all the stupid conspiracy theories of aliens in area 51, the LAST thing we would expect the government to have at area 51 is aliens, right?

It's definitely possible to convince ourselves of something than what actually happened. If I think about a memory I have with a twist I can convince myself that's how it happened. I'm not saying that happened to you, but it does happen.

Sometimes things get a little weird in the brain but it fixes itself and we go on our merry way.

Hah! I knew you were hiding something "reuq" If that even is your real name. Very clever writing in blue, but not clever enough.
