I've been seeing a lot of Oscar threads, so I'm gonna flat out say it. What just pissed you the FUCK off?
For me it was a few things.
1: When "The Hurt Locker" beat "Inglorius Bastards in ANY catagory.
2: The fact that Bradd Pitt wasn't even NOMINATED for best actor
3: The fact that Clooney was nominated for "Up in the Air" when he was AMAZING in "The Men Who Stare at Goats."
4 and lastly: The fact that "Precious" won one of them. NO. Just.... NO.

So, what did you hate about the Oscars?

EDIT: Oh, also the fact that District 9 didn't get a best film nomination. That was a jaw dropping moment.

EDIT 2: FUCK. I must have been in the bathroom for that part. My mistake everyone.

I don't even consider the Oscars a real award ceremony anymore. It's been that way for a while.
Sandra Bullock, case and point.

hate to say it but... Inglorious didnt deserve the awards it got.
Yes, I'm one of those guys who says that there was too much intrigue, and am probobly gonna get yelled at or flamed by it but in the end Im right! Don't call a movie Inglorious Bastards when about 40% of it is the only amount of time where they are shown. Dont say Bastards is gonna be an action flick when its more about espionage. just dont.
As for all the other stuff... your right!

Inglorius Basterds should have one best film or whatever the award is. Failing that, atleast Avatar (I mean Christ it broke pretty much every record). I don't know what Sandra Bullock one for, but I'm sure she didn't really deserve it...

The Oscars are a broken system for rewarding good films. It causes people to go out and make "Oscar films" which are blatant attempts to please judges etc. I think the entire idea ruins the industry. Plus it made Jim Carrey do stuff OTHER than zaney comedy... why? (Ace Ventura was the peak of movie excellence! Hilarity, shemales and a mystery. What more do you want?)

Like a glove!

The way they drivel on about the actors as if they are some kind of fucking deities, using all kind of hyperbolic adjectives.

'Remarkable, generous, legendary, benevolent, compassionate, gracious, humanitarian'...

They're actors for god sake, not Mother Theresa.

It makes me sick.

Because TF2 is an amazing game.

I missed them as well because of TF2, but I really didn't mind.

Wait I thought it just won for best supporting actor for Christopher Waltz (who, by the way, gave an absolutely incredible performance).
Edit: Oh, and to those who missed it for TF2, I missed it because I fell asleep at 7:30 PM. Yeah, I really don't know what happened there.

Oh, I don't think it was an action flick, but the story was really well put together. And the little bit of action there was great, there just wasn't much of it.

Bullshit at Twilight being listed as a horror film.

That fat white ***** stealing the mic from the Black dude when he was trying to give an acceptance speech for the documentary film.

District 9 NOT WINNING ONCE.

Sharlto Copley not nominated for best actor

Neil Blomkamp not nominated for best director

Coraline not winning best animated.

Ben Stiller's outfit.

Neil Patrick Harris's god awful musical number

Barbara FUCKING STRYSAND. (I know that's not how her name is spelt)

That neither District 9 nor Watchmen won a single award. FUCK. THAT. SHIT.

Bloke who played Rorschach did an amazing job, so did Sharlto.

Two Three things come to mind:
1. That Ponyo wasn't even nominated for Best Animated Feature. Dammit Academy, you know Miyazaki exists and gave the award to Spirited Away, you have no excuse!
2. That Sandra Bullock won Best Actress, though that had more to do with The Blind Side than her.
3. That District 9 didn't win anything.

Im gonna level with you dude, I only heard about the Oscars from my friends today. I have no idea who won what, but I heard that Bastards won a lot. Conclusion? My friends are a bunch of liars. Retract my earlier comment.
