All I can say is look here and figure out how Thomas is subliminally making your kids sexist and right wing by
In one episode, for example, Thomas whistles impatiently at a police officer and is replaced with a different engine as a punishment for showing dissent.
What I'm asking is: do you agree with the statement that Thomas is an evil hate-spewing machine of darkness or are they just looking to much into it?

...Of course they are looking too much into it. I don't know how whistling impatiently at a police officer is exactly sexist or right wing anyway.

They are looking way too much into this, you notice these kind of things when your either drunk or have too much free time on your hands.

Thats a load of crap. I used to watch Thomas the Tank Engine when i was little, but i'm not sexist to women. Hell, i barely remember it. It's just a fun program for small kids, a bit of harmless fun. They'll forget it when they're older.
Quite frankly, Professor Shauna Wilton sounds like a hardcore feminist with a stick up her arse who needs to get laid.

Also, i love the things the Laura Midgley said. It's very rare i find someone in a news article saying exactly what im thinking.

I dunno, I guess there could be a little something to it but I highly doubt that it's intentional. The creators of the show can just add a couple girls to the foray and fix it-- it's not like Thomas goes around saying "you can't do it because you're a girl."

Plus, there are a lot of shows that focus on girls as main characters and portray them as equal-- if you don't like the "subconscious messages" in Thomas the Tank Engine, don't turn it on for your kids. Try Dora the Explorer or something; they'll learn a new language while they're at it.

That professor needs to be taken out and thrown in a furnace.

If that is how she intends to use her expensive education she clearly has nothing of value to offer society besides the chemical energy stored in her body.

ps, when I was little I loved Thomas the Tank engine, it's got Ringo's voice for crying out loud!

WHAT IS BILL DOING IN YOUR AVATAR?!

*Ahem*. I watched good ole' Thomas and loved him, and there's a fine line between "reading too much into things" and being "A politically correct nazi witch". Stop spoiling the kids' fun!

No, the real reason why Thomas replaced is that he was operating on a country branch line without the use of 'cow-catchers'. This would mean that if a cow/person ran onto the railway line they would be killed by Thomas. Due to this safety risk, it is illegal for a train to operate on a country branch line without 'cow-catchers'. Thus, the policeman was obliged by law to tell the Fat Controller that a different engine was needed.

This was used as an excuse for the Fat Controller to bring in the tram engine Toby. Toby has 'cow-catchers' so it is perfectly legal for him to operate on country branch line.

The police man was not removed for whistling at a police officer, he was removed because it was illegal for him to continue to operate.

Don't believe me? I have Seen that episode nearly 100 times (little brother)...in fact I believe the episode is called "Thomas in Trouble" which is episode 22 of Season 1.
You should put that description in the comments section in the article. Lol this is going to be good.

haha now i just have the thomas the tank engine song looping in my head...
what?
dont look at me like that!
My youngest brother watched it non stop as a kid and I was twelve at the time so my young brain picked up the song...

you have to remember that thomas is an old program and was created by (at least) a thirty year old person, which means that their upbringing was completely different to out own, so what was seen as normal to him is seen as right wing to us... especially those of us who look to close into things...

Daily Fail as always delivers utter shit.

No he is not some hate-spewing right wing train; unlike the Mail itself.

(It's not a train though, it's a newspaper.)

Daily Mail.

Seriously dude, this paper, if you can call it that, has a reputation for spewing hate and lies here in England.

Yes Yes and If you over analyze "RUDOLPH THE RED NOSE REINDEER" you'll see that it has Nazi themed overtones in it, and "DORA THE EXPLORER" and "GO DIEGO GO" promote child neglect. This person really needs to use her time doing something that actually benefits society.
