Two things about Assassins Creed concerning both Brotherhood and the series as a whole
1. Where are they going to place AC3/4 (Does brotherhood count as 3 or is it part of a different numbering system, I can never tell with game series's nowadays)
Basically, what other time period could they use? I have a suspicion that it will NOT EVER be in the World wars, or the latter 1800s, here's why: First of all, remember that bit in AC2 (Spoilers) where Vidic breaks into the assassins hideout and the fight with the Templar soldiers is basically Desmond fighting with a hidden blade while the templars have LEAD PIPES! Now we KNOW they have guns due to the rescue attempt in AC1 where they shoot the assassins trying to rescue Desmond so what they were shy to use guns in AS2 but not AS1?
Also, for both Ezio and Altair, they've only dealt with two types of ranged enemies, bow/crossbow and 16th century guns. Those are still challenging in certain aspects, but the only real way to dodge them is to kill them before they shoot you, or just take their damage. Theres almost no way to dodge quickly enough, especially for gunners. Now imagine gunners, but with better guns, and more of them as in ALL of the guards have them. Thats pretty much everything after the 17th century. I'm sure they could do a 1600s AC3 but thats mostly pikes, halbards, some sorts sword-play and early muskets, so not much different from ACbrotherhood.
My point is that either AS3 will be with Ezio AGAIN which would definatly loss the appeal after THREE games, it will be with a slightly different character but will still feel very similar to ACB OR and I'd rather see this one, place the new Desmond vehicle assassin in the 18th or 19th century, but add a new mechanic to overcome musketeer guards that is familar yet even more awesomely acrobatic. I seriously hope we see AC3 set in enlightenment Europe, or even Napoleonic Europe, great history to be found and cool new mechanics to be added.
Ok thats all done for the future now for the present 2. (Sort of spoilers) Ok, remember that bit in Assassins Creed: Brotherhood were Rodrigo Borgia gets captured and sent to a jail in Spain, and then it sort of just cuts to, what?, 16 years later and he breaks out has thier huge thing with the King of Argon and Castille and THEN Ezio shows up? Remember that? Did anyone else see a giant red flag boasting the words THOSE IN BETWEEN TIME PERIODS WILL BE DLC!! Anyone else get that impression?
