Thoughts on High School of the Dead?

I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It has some interesting concepts and characters. It hasn't even made an attempt to explain the zombies. It's basically just a Zombie Apocalypse on steroids.

Hey, it even triggered an emotional response from me once. It introduced a new character, a fairly inept police officer, that I actually quite liked. She ends up falling for Kohta. And then she was killed. By Kohta. Yeah, I was mad. Yes, mad. It was completely an intentional attempt to play at our heart strings and it worked.

As for the fanservice, I kinda enj-Oh my God. I'm going to Hell, aren't I?

Started off as a fun anime to watch for all the reasons mentioned aboved, but the second half of the show bored me to death for its lack of zombie and an attempt at serious storytelling. Oh and that samurai babe with the hadaka (or w/e the spelling) appron is insta-win. That is all.

I love how everyone says there's too much sex/boobs despite the fact the show was made to showcase zombies and BOOBS. It's like complaining about too many zombies, you can't because that's half the point of the show.

I read the manga and I loved it. While the fan service is a bit over the top, after a while the characters become as full and rich as their bodies.

honestly the series would be good even without all the tities.

The anime pretends to be no more than it is, and I certainly appreciate that
The fan service is for the most part done for comedy... so that's ok
and besides, in the world of anime fan service is not something to be getting upset with

Plenty of fanservice and a waste of some great voice acting talent. It wasn't bad, but I thought it would be better than it was. Still, there were a few times I laughed pretty hard, so it's all good.

its an over-the-top schlock fest that knows what it is and doesn't take itself too seriously. it one of those things where you just turn off your brain, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
