Thoughts on Pokemon Black & White

Well as a loyal pokemon fan I'm kinda shocked at the fact that the thought didn't come across to me to buy this... it'll probably never die. it's profitable just have fun and go for the ride. and there is no law that say you have to play them.

I would like to know if this pokemon is going to have the light and dark world theme that all the other nintendo games had a couple of years back. It could make for some interesting game play. Depending on how it's done of course.

Oh, I understand that, and don't mean to disrespect anyone who chooses to. I just don't see the appeal of the newer ones, except they are easier to get ahold of.

Now, onto the topic.

It's too early for me to place much judgement yet. I'm very happy with how HG and SS turned out though, as they're remakes of my favourite versions done extremely well.

Exactly! They're my personal favourites. Well, now HG and SS are, but they were! Better then Generations 1 and 3 because they kept in Gen. 1 when you played through.

This time around I did something a bit more fun though. Full Eevee team!

Jolteon = Columbus
Vaporeon = Newark
Flareon = Yuma
Espeon = Chicago
Glaceon = Nome
Leafeon = Everett

I love my naming pattern and the fact that it's literally a team of Eevees that I bred for their purpose. Also have an Umbreon named Seattle in the Pokewalker, but he's not nearly as powerful as the others sadly. Can only take 6 though, not 7.

In my past, I have not liked the console version of PKMN's. They just aren't made for console, it's for portable gaming. Well in my opinion.

Right I forgot that just because I got older I wasn't allowed to enjoy things that I enjoyed as a child. Guess I should stop enjoying ice cream and pizza while I'm at it.

OT:Hopefully a new storyline maybe some new types and try and balance out some of the Pokemon as some of them seem just about useless? As a side note I wish they would take out random critical hits.

You mean like Colliseum? Or Pokemon Snap?
I'm not talking about a battle stadium. I want a legit RPG. Granted theres very little better than being able to pull out Pokemon on a long car ride/ waiting in between classes. I just wish Nintendo can make the game we ALL know they can.

i understaned where your coming from and in a way i agree with you. nintendo hasen't made a new franchise SINCE pokemon (red/blue). but that way we play nintendo for the zeldas and metroids we played as kids. and the same gose for pokemon when i bought dimond. it's nosalgic

Aw I didn't see that and your right but I'm surprised they never thought of a "eeveeloution" that had wings like a flying type or maybe even a ghost type (a former dead eevee sounds kinda creepy or the setup for a very sad episode of pokemon).

I wish the PKMN setting was taken seriously with a slightly darker tone, a "functional" world that made reasonable sense, a HUGE cut in "All teh bad guys are epic-stoopid rule" and with an added cargoship's worth of common sense for everyone.

I actually wouldn't like to see a Ghost Eevee. You already have a Dark and Psychic. I want to see them expand into some of the other types more, so you can have a lot more variety and choice amongst them. Like I said, preferably ground or rock, but I would like to see a fighting or something as well.

Well, the graphic looks pretty, at least.

I'm more excited, as I always am for new Pokemon, over the new starters.
I know they're going to be Grass/Water/Fire, and yet it's the best part, reaching for an old man's balls for the first time to see what new beasts will guide you along your journey.

But the strangest argument I find being made too frequently is that they're too many Pokemon. If they stopped at first gen, people would act all high and mighty for being the only Pokemon players and complain about needing a sequel. If every sequel contained only the first 151, people would whine about the repetitiveness.

I'm all for what's looking to be a nearly 600 Pokemon Pokedex in this future generation.
