Thoughts on Pokemon Black & White

I liked Red/Blue, and the ones after that (gold/silver?) were ok, but the newer ones are just more of the same. Yawn.

it'll probably never die. it's profitable just have fun and go for the ride. and there is no law that say you have to play them.

Oh, I understand that, and don't mean to disrespect anyone who chooses to. I just don't see the appeal of the newer ones, except they are easier to get ahold of.

i understaned where your coming from and in a way i agree with you. nintendo hasen't made a new franchise SINCE pokemon (red/blue). but that way we play nintendo for the zeldas and metroids we played as kids. and the same gose for pokemon when i bought dimond. it's nosalgic

But they have new franchises, Animal Crossing, Golden Sun, Pikmen, and if of want to count it Super Smash Bros. Recently any franchises they make are casual, like cooking mama, wii sports, and wii fit. The thing about pokemon is that it follows a very recycled formula, and for me to get truly exited about it they would have to show me that there is something significancy new in the story structure, but then again why fix what is not really broken.

This m may just be me hearing something but, isn't Black & White going to have you not only go through the new place but Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh as well?
Anway, I like the look of the 3D environments, I will continue watching to see how this goes.

EDIT: I'd also like to see how the make new types but that's a bit optimistic on my behalf.

I have no thoughts on it at all, apart from "there are way too many Pokemon generations". I stopped paying attention after Gold, because I personally thought that 250 Pokemon was pushing. I certainly won't be buying it, but I hope that those who do enjoy it!

The only thing i wish for is that after you become champion you canyou can be challenged by others that get stronger and stronger till adventualy you need a perfect iv and Ev Trained team to beat them...

I don't know about that, but it's something that I've been wishing for the Pokemon series for years, but I think if they did that, the level cap of 100 would need to be significantly higher, or Pokemon just level up REALLY slow.

I'm actually excited for Black and White, but I'll still have my doubts until more details are revealed.

Seriously, When can we get a full 3D Open World Sandbox Pokemon game?! You know the one you've been wanting since GodDamn Red and Blue came out?! Sigh. Well I'll probably get this one too and continue to mutter my rantings and ravings under my breath at the same time...

In my past, I have not liked the console version of PKMN's. They just aren't made for console, it's for portable gaming. Well in my opinion.

You mean like Colliseum? Or Pokemon Snap?
I'm not talking about a battle stadium. I want a legit RPG. Granted theres very little better than being able to pull out Pokemon on a long car ride/ waiting in between classes. I just wish Nintendo can make the game we ALL know they can.

Does it matter? As long as you enjoy a gaming experience anything could and should be played and enjoyed without consideration of age. I mean if you limit yourself, why would you play in the first place, everyone who owned a gameboy 10 years ago or longer has played Pokemon and almost everyone has enjoyed it.

What I am saying is that it's not fair to classify someone like that, it more or less an insult to anyone who actually plays the games.

They've remade Silver and Gold and as far as I'm concerned this is the end of the line regarding my interest in new Pokemon games of the same breed. New Pokemon just aren't the Pokemon I grew to love, and feel far more commercialised. Black and White would have to do something revolutionary to make me want to go back. Further from remaking Blue / Red / Yellow AGAIN but in DS form ¬_¬

Black and White aren't colours >.> Black is an absence of, White is all the colour spectrum.

I'm pretty sick of all the Pokemon games and wish they would stop making them. That being said, since I'm such a hypocrite I will probably end up buying the games anyway just to see how repetitive they are.

it will be the same as the other pokemon games. hour and a half of screaming 'get on with it *****!!!' at the screen and the endless hours of fighting leading up to a big battle at the end that i never get to or finish...and just like the other games i will still buy it.

Now that i think of it, maybe that isn't the starter i recently saw on another forum here, somebody posted that and i guess i believed. I would like to think that is one of the starters since the pic i saw was badass

A little farther back i saw some other Pokemon, 2 to be exact...
