Edit: Screw what I said before, this essentially sums up my feelings so much better:

I find it comes off as self-important for someone to put into their own post, although tolerable to use when quoting someone else's thought out response. It's a little presumptuous to say "end thread" in any context.

So, yes you can use it, but it does look like you're a dick. That's my take on it.

So yeah, go ahead use it if you wanna look like an ass.

I really thought that it should be a topic that should be brought to the escapists' attention. I mean, it seems ridiculous to be so cocky that you believe that you can somehow get the last word in on a topic and be chosen as the person who is solely right and everyone else's opinions are irrelevant. I understand the tongue in cheek humor side of it though. I missed the fact that it can be used in a comedic sense, though I don't find it very funny or necessarily interesting, personally.
